We only stayed one night, arrived late and left early. However, I was fairly impressed with this hotel. The best part was the location. Although we hit a little traffic the last half mile (I think due to an accident, not normal) it was very easy to get to. It was also literally right acrossed the river from Louisville. You can be in downtown Louisvill in about five minutes. We ate an Italian place about a block from the hotel. Pretty good food with a great view of the bridge and skyline. Awesome fitness center. Only complaint would be that the heating system in our room was a little loud.

On the outside this seems like a basic solid Sheraton property. However the staff have always been extremely helpful and genuinely nice about it. Whether it is directions, a ride or a recommendation they always bend over backwards to help their guests out. As a frequent business traveler this staff makes me feel at home. They don't get hung up on small things like giving a guest a ride a tiny bit outside of the prescribed area. They do what they need to and it works! The hotel is in a great location with several good dining options within walking distance or connected to the building. It also has some pretty stunning views of downtown Louisville. In the evening they get the sunset view and it is awesome. If I had to change one thing is that the Club Lounge could really use something different. It is almost as if the management doesn't see the value in having a really good club lounge for their preferred guests. However, the staff that run the lounge are always extremely friendly and accommodating.

Honestly, as far as Sheratons go, this property is really nothing special physically. It is the staff that makes this hotel a great place. They are all exceptional, and could be text book examples of how to treat and interact with guests. Warm and welcoming and more importantly - genuine.

Only improvements needed
- Beds need new pillows, have stayed at this hotel numerous times and the lumpy pillows are getting to be a real negative.
- Club lounge snacks are pretty pathetic, wouldn't take much to spruce up the offerings here.

We loved our stay here. This has to be one of our favorites. Lobby decor was so nice. The staff was courteous and helpful. We were upgrade to a larger room on the river. We loved it. We ordered room service. The prices were affordable and the food was great. The hotel felt very clean to us and very well maintained. We would definitely return.
