I recently stayed in this hotel for the World Equestrian Games which were held in Lexington. The hotel was close to the Louisville Airport and the staff quickly checked us in and was even able to switch us to a room with 2 beds rather than 1 king. The hotel had free breakfast which was a good way to save some money. I really liked the make your own waffles!
I enjoyed the hotel because it was close to major highways and right outside of downtown Louisville- literally just across the bridge. The area was nice and I saw several restaurants nearby. The staff was able to give us directions and suggestions for different places to go. Parking is free here which is always nice. The hotel did have an indoor pool which was open late.
The only downside was our room was right by the ice machine and stairs so I could hear the ice and people running up and down the stairs even past midnight. Other than that, our stay was nice.

After a 4+ hr trip from southern wv, I was ready for relaxation. Found IT!!! Front desk was fast and check in was a breeze. Woke up at night to have a delightful convo with the night audit lady. She made sure there was plenty of fresh hot coffee on hand.

We enjoyed the nice hot water in the spa and the indoor pool was the perfect temp for a relaxing cool down.

Hotels are all about customer service/hospitality. This Fairfield Inn excels. Kudos!

Passing through town, we booked last-minute without checking TripAdvisor. Terrible experience. Hotel is very run down; beds are squishy; nothing is clean and it's way overpriced for the value. Couldn't wait to get out of there. Felt like I needed a shower afterward.

We have stayed here several times during past year while chil at UofL. Each time we have stayed the staff has been more than helpful, gracious and sincerely caring for our needs. The front desk clerks went out of their way to help with various requests, from where to eat to getting us best rate to faxing something for us. Although this hotel is not a five star hotel, it more than met our needs. Rooms are clean; beds are way comfortable; breakfast area is clean and food is good; fresh coffee, fruit, and occasionally some cookies are available through day; nice pool and fitness area; good parking; seems like a safe area. A great value for your dollar. Restaurants are close by. Easy access to interstate, campus, downtown, shopping malls. Also, be sure to check out nearby Ann's for some great home cooking!!
