Carpets that any self-respecting homeowner would be ashamed to live with or let friends see, remnants of old cigarette burns at the edge of most flat surfaces, lingering cigarette smell in a "non-smoking" room, dust on all areas that are not immediately accessible by vacuum cleaner or damp rag.
But no worse than any other older $50 per night hotel of its kind.

The price was right. The rooms were comfortable. The WiFi signal wasn't so good in the back of the hotel, it may have been better in another room. The hotel needs minor repairs all around to be really nice, but it was clean and comfortable. Numerous dining places, a 24 hr pharmacy, and Wal-Mart all within a very short distance.

Room was fairly clean, staff was Ok. The biggest issue, though, was the sound levels in the room coming from the neighbors. There was a group of at least 4-5 people in the room next to me partying up until almost 3:00am. If I spoke Spanish I could have made out every word they said all night long - but the only word I understood was the "F"-Bomb, which they kept saying about every 30 seconds. It was also a very cold winter night, so I couldn't turn on the fan to try and drown out the noise. I can't believe that a hotel would allow such large groups to carry on that late into the night. Made for a rough night and a crummy 11 hour drive the next day. I have noticed that a lot of the "old Fairfield Inn" hotels (which this is just by looking at the architecture/design) that have been re-franchised have these super thin and uninsulated walls.

The hotel does offer free wifi, and a continental breakfast. Granted, the food was more than likely bought from the Costco right across the street, and the orange juice was sitting in a warm pitcher all morning long (yuk), but it was still a free processed pastry to fill my stomach until I made it out of town for lunch.

Lots of other hotels in the area flashing similar rates on their signs - might be worth the time to look around first.

This hotel is horrible, and I can handle bad hotels. Bathroom toilet didn't flush, heat wasn't on in our room and took forever to warm up and then we were sweating all night, continental breakfast didn't begin early in the morning so we missed it, had to go outside to go to the lobby. Just horrible. Old hotel, rundown, not worth it.
