I was riding my bike from Richmond, and I got a flat tire late at night. Motel 6 was the most affordable place to stay. I found the bed dirty, and all night there were Baby momma's and Baby Daddy's running around the whole motel slamming doors and stomping threw the decks... I guess it is just might as well be known as a local homeless shelter. When I woke up the guests were very filthy looking and had work clothes on. The service people were very nice, but the hotel wasn't. All they have to eat and drink are from vending machines and you have to pay for shampoo through the vending machine. I tried to make phone calls from my room's phone, and it was very confusing. I would only recommend this hotel to someone in desperate need of one like I was, if your looking for a business trip to the Wonder Bread outlet right next door, than I would suggest Rammada Inn closer to I-70. Come to think about it though, Motel 6 had very good access to I-70 with very little traffic on Shadeland. That's about the best thing I could say about the place

Even when we first showed up it just seemed filthy but we were so tired from driving we didn't care. We just wanted a bed to sleep in and get some rest but that was far from the deal we got for the place. The price was pretty cheep but that's no excuse for the nasty stains on the sheets, the stains on the bathroom floor, the smokey air with yellow walls, ashes from cigarettes being put out on the door frames and the bed bugs. We weren't laying on the top of the bed for more than 10 minutes before we started itching with noticeable bites. Very noisy guests playing loud music, slamming doors, yelling outside our window, etc. When we finally couldn't stay their any more we called down to the front desk and they were more than happy to refund out money. He was very courteous and apologized for everything. Its better to not deal with it and go somewhere else.

Our room was none too clean when we arrived but we made excuses and spent the night. The next morning found out the room was infested with bed bugs. The motel has apparently been battling them for at least a month. The management asked us if we wanted to be moved to another room, but when we said we just wanted to check out, they were very helpful, refunded all of our money and gave us quarters to wash everything in their washers. The hotel is in an industrial part of town, kind of remote with a shuttered office park next door. Better to find someplace else to stay.

The floor was so stained I didn't want to take my shoes off. The shower had beard hairs, FROM THE PREVIOUS CUSTOMER!!!! in it. We received a bar of soap, no shampoo. There were ciggarette butts all over the ground outside. The stairs and walkways needed swept.One of the rooms had an electrical fire and was in the remodeling processand we could look right in the window. HIDE IT FOR THE SAKE OF LOOKS!!!CURTAINS!!!!!! We asked for ajoining rooms and got two together but not adjoining. The adjoining room was empty. Rooms 244 & 245. My husband,our two daughters, and I were in 244 , with the unclean shower.My mother -in-law and son were in 245. This is the second time we have had a bad experience with Motel 6! Begining to think it may be the chain.
