I recently stayed at this location and the property itself is nice. Beds are cool, but a little too firm for my taste. Rooms are nice and all. Here's the issue that I had: there was a FFA convention in town during my stay and some of the attendees were also at this hotel. They had most of the teenagers on one floor and the adults on other floors. The problem is that if they are going to have a large number of teens/kids on one floor, why not put your guests who are NOT part of that group, on a completely different floor so they can be away from the noise and commotion. THe kids were running up and down the halls, screaming in the hallways, rough housing, etc... at one point, a group of girls had dragged their blankets and pillows into the hallway to "camp out" out there and chit chat. I had to call the front desk to complain quite a few times about the noise before I just requested to have my room moved, at 11:30 at night, after I've had my shower, relaxing in my PJs... The 2nd room they gave me smelled like Marlborro country...despite the front desk clerk telling me that it was a non-smoking hotel when I complained about it. So, she had to come back up, and move me to another room... again. That room was not nearly as bad, but because it was next to the cigarette factory, I still smelled some smoke... at this point, I was just ready to unpack again and relax. Then, the adults down the hall had their hotel room doors open and were congregating from room to room and talking LOUD! I have NEVER stayed at a hotel that tolerated this kind of activity. The next night, I had to call down to the front desk again to complain about the noise. THe front desk clerk came up, walked the hall, the kids disappeared and then came back again once he went back downstairs. I do not like sleeping with ear plugs in because If there is an emergency, I want to be able to wake up easy and respond, however, I had to use my earplugs BOTH nights just to block out the noise. It would be nice if this hotel could have some sort of security person on duty that could enforce noise levels, etc... I know it had to be a fired code violation with kids literally lying in the hallways. I don't know if I'd ever stay at this location again. And this was my first time EVER staying at a Wyndham hotel. Not impressed with the staff.
Room Tip: ask if there is a large group staying at the hotel. If there is, ask for a room AWAY from them. If t...

KDL1969,
Thank you for your review. I apologize that your experience was not 100% positive. During the National FFA Convention, the population of the city (and mainly hotels) does swell. However, our staff should have been better prepared to face these challenges. For future events of this magnitude, the hotel will have additional staff on hand to ensure the hallways are clear and keep in constant contact with the chaperones' of the youths for each group.
If you should find a need for overnight accommodations in Indianapolis at some point in the future, call me on my mobile phone (317) 752-2312 and I will take care of your reservation.
