I love nice boutique hotels when I travel, which is one reason I selected this one. I stayed here only one night - business. it was charming! The lobby was beautiful with its red walls and crystal chandeliers. I walked in to music of Ella Fitzgerald and Frank Sinatra - which I grew up with. It was delightful! Check-in was easy. All staff were very pleasant.
Room was cozy and comfortable - not huge - but I dont need huge. I had a queen bed that was very comfortable. Room is beautifully decorated and clean. Lots of pillows on the bed - which I like - and large flat screen tv. Only thing missing was a coffeemaker, which I would have used. Bathroom had tub and shower and was very clean too. Electrical outlets for phone charging were sparse or not convenient, but that is common with older hotels. But I was able to find one.
I got in around 7pm and had work to do so ordered room service. The meal was fabulous! Lobster bisque, sea bass over risotto, rolls and creme brulee'. Portions were very good.
Rates were very good - I happened to get a special deal, perhaps because it was the week AFTER the super bowl. Location downtown was very convenient to my meeting that day and it was fun to see the area as I have never been to Indianapolis before.
I would definitely go back here, especially if the special rates were offered. If I paid the regular rate, I would expect a coffeemaker in the room.
I wasn't able to take advantage of the morning continental breakfast. Weather was cold so the concierge quickly got me a cab for a short ride to my meeting. He was very nice.
