I have stayed in Indianapolis and it's area more times then I can count. Since we get Hilton points we usually pick one of their hotels, but this is the first time we have stayed at this Hampton. We chose it because it gives a great military discount and it was in the heart of downtown - you can walk to so many things. Circle Center Mall is just a block away - but sadly we found there are few great shops left there. Better to stop at Hamilton Town Center or Keystone. There are lots of wonderful restaurants within a block or two of the Hampton. We found a gem in the Pearl Street Pizzaria - it's down an alleyway and if you are looking for a good beer selection you should check it out. The Hampton parking valet service was much better then other downtown Indy hotels. It was easy to turn into and we were met promptly. Cost is $17. Read reviews on this site and so asked for a room on a high level and at the end of the hallway - good advice! Only noise problem we had was the heater. Each room has it's own control so you can set it to the temp you like - it is loud when it starts up so be sure to set the bedtime temp for a low sleeping degree. One odd thing - the pillows are square shaped - but found them very comfortable.
