I rarely bash any hotel or business since I am a small business owner. I stayed in this hotel for 1 week and found bedbugs everywhere. After complaining I was moved to another room and guess what! After breakfast I noticed the owner putting the leftover biscuit gravy back into the tincan it came from. I asked him what he did with it and he said in broken english "saving it for tomorrow's breakfast". Also found hair in all of the sheets. The desk clerk said they wash all sheets in COLD water to save money. The people were nice and police, but what a dirty dump for the money. Traveler beware!

We had made reservations online after looking at other hotels in South Bend, Elkhart, etc. This one seemed to have the best rep, though admittedly the reviews had a smaller sample size. We had been driving all day and arrived in late at about 2 am. The guy who checked us in seemed very nice. I made a comment about how excited I was to get some sleep. When we got to our room, we were disgusted by the number of hairs in the bed-- several on the pillows, in the sheets; the bedding had definitely not been washed after the last guests, or the washing machine didn't work well. We told the front desk; he was understanding and set us up with another room. But when we got down to this room, the bed had even more hair in it. When we went back to the desk, we found the clerk renting the first room to someone else (presumably without having done anything about the dirty sheets). When we told him about the second room, he told us he'd gone to the first room and found only one hair. Just to be perfectly clear, I've stayed in dozens of hotels and this was the very first time I've ever found a bed to not be clean enough. I was not nitpicking over one hair; they were all over the bedding. We didn't fight him or argue with him, though. It was late and we were tired. In fact, we were even apologizing to the guy for not wanting to sleep in a dirty bed. He then told us we needed to go somewhere else because those were the only two rooms and yes, he had just rented that first room to someone else. He told us that even if he changed the bedding in the second room, he didn't think the sheets would be clean enough for our liking. There was no huge scene or yelling or anything. All of the interactions were very polite on everyone's end, though we did find it a bit rude that he implied we were wrong, despite what we saw in the beds. In the end, he did give us a refund and we went up to the Holiday Inn. It cost us forty dollars more, but at least we weren't sleeping in bedding full of some stranger's body hair. I wish we would have taken pictures so I really could prove to everyone how dirty these beds were. If someone else has had a similar experience, please share it. There is no excuse for renting out rooms with unclean sheets. There is absolutely no excuse for renting out a room that we complained about to another unwitting guest not five minutes after the complaint.

Checked in very very late, 2 or 3 AM, good service at desk. Clerk reduced price on room because of late check in, I did not even ask, just asked for price of a single. Nicest room of any Super 8 I have stayed. Good free breakfast, lots of choices. Remote did not work in room but it was a nice room. Was looking for a clean quiet room just off of the interstate and this fit the bill perfectly.

I called weeks ahead to get the same suite I had they said no problem got checked in not a suite and not the same room???
I told the manager about this and he augured with me and told me sorry there is nothing I can do just check out???

Stay right down the street at the Hampton Inn nice room, Nice people Very clean !!!
