A real dive kind of place. I wouldn't mind staying here if I was in town for work and needed a cheap room and no special thrills but I was traveling in a romantic weekend with my rather prissy g/f. Although nothing was filthy it did have lime and rust build up. The staff was mediocre at best. Short the Arby's and McD's I do not know of any dinner and drinks" type places or attractions in the area.
Priceline rates this place a "2 star" and considers it in the chicago south/ chesterton areas. BEWARE.... PRICELINE CUSTOMERS THIS MOTEL IS ON THE OUTER "FRINGE" of the region, look closely at the maps.

I work heavy constructionj and would be content paying as much as $35 a night for this motel IF IT WAS A PLACE FOR THE JOB!!!!

We stopped on our way home from a wedding. The room was clean but kind of run down looking. It more expensive and not as nice as the Super 8 where we stayed for the wedding. The breakfast was minimal-bread, cereal, coffee. There was a game room that we did not use.

This place is SEEDY. There are security cameras in the hallway & the rooms are gross. If there was another hotel in close proximity, I would have left this place. The bathroom was so small that you had to use it with the door open. The tub was disgusting and stained & I had a room that overlooked the adjoining truck stop! Yay!

Stayed at the Super 8 off of I-65/State Road 2 near Hebron/DeMotte on Sept. 4 for 1 night. Front desk staff was friendly and hotel grounds/public areas were safe, clean and well-maintained.
We were assigned to a smoking room with a king bed; Would have preferred non-smoking, but since we checked in early (around 11:30AM), we took what was available. Room didn't smell like smoke, so we were happy. It was not the fanciest hotel we've ever stayed in, but it was clean and comfortable. Bed was comfy, too. Had basic needs met. Would have been nice to have clock radio.
Hotel offered standard complimentary continental breakfast in the morning - noticed coffee, donuts, cereal, milk, assorted breads for the toasting, and oatmeal.
We paid about $79 with tax, so a little pricey, but it was over Labor Day weekend. All in all, a nice safe place to stay overnight.
