Location is reason we stay here, close to Indianapolis, easy to reach from interstate. Bathrooms and bedding always clean - they seem to do the best with what they have but this Fairfield is not typical of others in the chain. In July 2011 the indoor pool was closed, same story in October 2011 - windows are papered over. Have stayed here several times over the years.This inn is badly in need of updating - scratched woodwork, older furniture, musty smells. Parking lot is also in need of work - for security, try to park near the front of the building and ask for a room near the lobby area. The breakfast area is tiny, just a few tables.

Arrived to find ourselves assigned to a room that clearly smelled like it was used as a smoking room . Front desk claimed to have no other rooms available for us to check out, yet the Marriott 800 number said there were several other rooms available. The lady at the desk was as nice as possible, but she even told the 800 number folks that her computer showed the hotel as sold out.

Carpet was worn and discolored throughout the hallways, doors were all scratched up, and the furniture in the room was beat. Appearance was definitely below the normal Marriott Fairfield Inn standard and Marriott should be embarrassed by the condition of this property. Housekeeping clearly should have identified that room as smelling of smoke - and obviously nothing had been done about it.

We finally decided we couldn't stay and risk being sick from the smoke, and drove to another Marriott property about 30 miles away that was just fine.

Decent hotel just off I-74 close to several restaurants and services. I stayed here one night in mid-April when tornado sirens wailed and wild weather entertained me for much of the evening - but nothing leaked and fortunately nothing was damaged. The hotel is showing its age with some peeling wallpaper in places, some heavily nicked furniture, and some tube tvs but nonetheless the bed was comfortable and the room was very clean. Free wireless internet worked well. Chilis is a short walk up the driveway to the hotel and other restaurants are across the street. I only saw 2 staff members but they were both friendly and knowledgeable about the area. I would stay here again and recommend it.

We stayed here as a stop-off point on a trip to Ohio. The hotel was very clean, the room was a great size...seemed roomier than most. Beds were comfortable with plenty of blankets & sheets & they also offered a nice breakfast. Would happily return!
