We lost power in Fort Wayne in December at our house and was staying at another motel who lost power so we decided to move to Knights Inn. What an absolute mistake! We were told that the rooms had been recently renovated but the carpet was disgusting, lights weren't working, the bathroom vanity was at least 30 years old and cabinet doors were missing, there was a leak in the bathroom which dripped on my head, the bathroom floor was covered in grime and I felt dirtier after taking a shower. We were in our room for less than an hour and loaded the dog back up in the car along with our stuff and checked out. The motel charged us over $20 to use the room for an hour and the management was less than cordial. I filed a complaint with the BBB and asked for my money back which I did receive.

I had to go to Ft. Wayne because a friend was in the hospital. Upon arriving everything seemed fine until I walked into my room which smelled awful, the TV didn't work, and the bed wasn't even made. They switched the room for me though except I now walked into the room where the carpet that use to be green had a stain on it of a nasty urine yellow! The next morning I had to rush to the hospital because my friend was being put on life support. I had to come back to check out cause I only booked one night. Because of the emergency in the morning I was running late to check out. I apologized to the man who stood outside my door starting at me because he wanted to clean it. I explained the problem and said that I was trying to hurry. He yelled at me and said that my problem wasn't his and it was time to go, along with several other things I can't repeat. I went to the front desk to explain to the woman working (I only checked out 20 mins late!), she argued with me and said I was a liar even though she wasn't there to witness what had happened. I asked for the corporate number. After telling me she didn't have it, I continued to insist on getting it. She finally tossed it at me and I walked out the door. I contacted the corporate office and they did nothing! I didn't expect a free night cause God knows I'd never stay there again but the email I received only said "Each Knights Inn is privately owned so we'll forward a letter to the hotel." That was a long time ago and I never heard a word and spent money to stay in a place that was dingy and disgusting and where I was treated horribly. I vow to never stay in a Knights Inn again!
