I arrived on a Wed evening after a long drive, checkin was quick and I was happy to find out about the Manager's Reception. This was an excellent snack before heading out to dinner.

Breakfast was varied and tasty. I found the attendants at breakfast quick to help out and did not encounter any of the issues that others had reported. I did see a few families devour entire trays of bacon or eggs and these take a few minutes to replenish. My complaint for the hotel is that they only use polystyrene foam (Styrofoam) plates. These are being used once and go off to the landfull.

The room was clean, had the standard amenities that I expect of HI, and the bedroom area was much larger than I expected. Although my suite was near the elevator the bed was far enough back in the room that I did not hear anything. About the doors being hard to close, mine was okay.

There are plenty of restaurants nearby and a grocery store across the road.

**As I do with every room when travelling I check for bedbugs. I found both rooms we booked to be free of any evidence of these little critters and we all slept soundly.

We (myself, wife and 5yr old) stayed here one night on points en route to north Wisconsin from Arkansas. Regular king room with a couch for the kiddo to sleep on. Typical Holiday Inn Express, nothing grand but nothing bad. The breakfast had one of those automatic pancake deals, which the kid and wife liked. There are a few restaurants in easy walking distance (next door or just a block away). There is a Kroger across the street in case you want to pick up something. Nothing bad to report about this hotel. Perfectly fine overnight stay on our journey.

Hmmmmm? I am a Drury Inn and Holiday Inn fan and try to stay and either. I stayed at the Holiday Inn Express for an evening before moving my daughter out of state. The receptionist greeted us with a smile and was very kind. Our room was normal size. (the pictures do make it look larger.) The bed was perfect. We want to know the name of the mattress so we can buy one. The pool showed its age. I think the other reviews complaining about the color of the water is a result of the pool needing to be resurfaced/painted. It did make it look discolored but that was the wear and tear on the pool surfaces. The breakfast was typical Holiday Inn Express. So, as I read a few of the former reviews I thought, “Huh? I didn’t experience that.”

The room was OK....but the pool area was dark and filthy!!!! The oversized room was great but only one TV in the sleeping area left us with no TV once the kids went to sleep. Hot breakfast was good. Overall, it was OK...nothing special. Next time I would probably try the other "H" brand hotel next door.
