We are a family with 4 young children. The first impression was that it looked new, although the fact that there were only 6 cars in the parking lot on a Saturday night should have given us a clue.
Once in the room, we saw a nice fridge and microwave. It was clean enough, but wallpaper is all starting to peel. There are screws sticking out of woodwork - tacky. We had to go to the front desk to get linens for the pullout bed. The ice machine AND vending machine on our floor were not working. We went up a floor and the vending machine wasn't working, but the ice machine was. We hit the vending machine on the bottom floor, which worked.
The breakfast was OK - the kids like the waffles. Traditional offerings as well as eggs/sausage. Public woman's restroom near front desk was out of order. There was a sign on pool door saying "Pool Closed", but when we asked, they said they just hadn't taken the sign off (it opens at 6AM and it was 9AM). The pool is TINY!! Which you would think would make it better to heat, but it was seriously cold. The kids were so looking forward to swimming, but they couldn't stop chattering their teeth. Hubby doesn't mind cool water, but couldn't even stand it. I walked laps around the pool in an effort to keep warm. We won't be returning...
