“Great Overnight Stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 May 2010

Stayed here for one night for the Vera Bradley sale... hotel was sold out. The guy working at the front desk was fantastic - very knowledgable about the area, gave great directions and suggestions, and was very friendly. Staff overall friendly - talked to a few staff people in the elevator, and they also have tips and pointers about the area. Room was great for the price paid, and the air temperature was perfect (and I usually get too cold in hotel rooms... slept like a baby in this one). Location very convenient - right off the interstate. Will definitely stay here again for next year's sale!

“Won't stay again...”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 April 2009

We are a family with 4 young children. The first impression was that it looked new, although the fact that there were only 6 cars in the parking lot on a Saturday night should have given us a clue.

Once in the room, we saw a nice fridge and microwave. It was clean enough, but wallpaper is all starting to peel. There are screws sticking out of woodwork - tacky. We had to go to the front desk to get linens for the pullout bed. The ice machine AND vending machine on our floor were not working. We went up a floor and the vending machine wasn't working, but the ice machine was. We hit the vending machine on the bottom floor, which worked.

The breakfast was OK - the kids like the waffles. Traditional offerings as well as eggs/sausage. Public woman's restroom near front desk was out of order. There was a sign on pool door saying "Pool Closed", but when we asked, they said they just hadn't taken the sign off (it opens at 6AM and it was 9AM). The pool is TINY!! Which you would think would make it better to heat, but it was seriously cold. The kids were so looking forward to swimming, but they couldn't stop chattering their teeth. Hubby doesn't mind cool water, but couldn't even stand it. I walked laps around the pool in an effort to keep warm. We won't be returning...

“OK”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 February 2009

I will try & be brief. Staff isn't friendly, (not terrible, but you surely won't find a smile). Pool is quite small-don't plan to do many laps. Rooms were OK-mattresses were a little weird. Seemed slanted or something-we kept sliding off! Inconvenient to get to & from hotel from the road. Had to go down & get linens & cover for pull out sofa. WORST part of the stay was the front sliding door to the hotel. I could not figure out why it was FREEZING while we were trying to eat in the breakfast area & I overheard another guest say the front sliding door to the hotel was broken and woudn't shut. We had to freeze or try & lug breakfast back to our room. Anyway, microwave & fridge in room were nice to have. Reasonable price as always in the Comfort Suites. The Comfort Suites in Fort Wayne off exit #102 is MUCH NICER w/ great lobby, bigger pool, etc.

“"NEVER AGAIN"”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 June 2008

June 28 2008

I book a executive suit room #107 when I walk in the floors and the bed were dirty So the gave me another room #215 it was in the same shape as the first but the bath room was flat out unexcepable.
On to room three #217 YES the same as the first two. I talk to a manager on the phone and they told me there was nothing that they could do for me. STAY AT YOUR OWN RISK !!

“Love Shack - Tacky”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 July 2007

My husband and I refer to this hotel as the "Love Shack". We requested a jacquzzi suite but did not konw they had themed suites. They put us in the Love room. It was VERY tacky. There were fuzzy dice hanging from the ceiling, a heart fuzzy pillow on the wall, cheap streamers hanging from another part of the ceiling, and little tacky love items on the walls. If you are looking for a little joke to make your honey laugh, this is your place.

My one real complaint is that the curtains in the suite do nothing to keep out the sun and it faces the east.

Also, apparently the other suite was a jungle theme although we did not see that one.
