I was a bit leary about staying here due to some reviews. The last time I stayed in Fort Wayne, I stayed at a 3.5 star hotel in downtown Fort Wayne, whick was ok, but I was familiar with the Hall's Restaurants, which are very good, so I wanted to give it a try. I am so glad we did.
We arrived on a Friday, and there was a line to check in. The front desk was very effecient, and got us checked in VERY quickly. We went to dinner prior to our evening plans, and the dinner was awesome. (Almond Shrimp and Beef Skewer). It is dinner and breakfast included with no hitches. If you look at the menus, you can get anything with an umbrella next to it for free, plus there was a buffet (dinner and breakfast), that you could get for free. If you wanted something else on the menu, that did not have the umbrella, you got a $13.00 credit towards the dinner meal.
When we arrived back to the hotel at 11pm, they have live entertainment in the lounge.
The following morning we had a breakfast, that we could only eat about 1/2 of. There was so much food. The servers were so nice, knowing that people may not leave them a proper tip. Please remember to tip the servers on the WHOLE BILL, before all the discount with the coupons they provide you at check in.
The room was very nice in size, and very clean and quiet. The ground were very well taken care of. There is an indoor pool, plus an outdoor pool ,which was not open yet, but they had a ton of pool furniture, when the pool is in use. I checked out the gym area, and it had a nice selection of equipment, and also very clean.
We do a lot of traveling, and so many time the Internet makes the place look so good, and we get there, and are so dissappointed. This time, we were so impressed with our stay. We will return if we have to go to Fort Wayne again.
