My husband and I took a road trip with our two teenage grandaughters this summer, and spent a few nights at this hotel. The rooms and service were great. Everyone at the front desk were most helpful and so nice to our grand daughters. Excellent restaurants and shopping were so nearby, we visited the college, and saw interesting attractions in the vicinity. Fairfield Inns in general are terrific value for the dollar, and this hotel in particular was exceptional. We would definately return.

The West Hotel is pleasant enough, but hard to get to (on a little side roade off the main road and exit off the Lloyd Expressway), and there is not really much around, unless you are going to the campus of Southern Indiana University. The restaurants are all chains and mediocre, at best. It is quite a way in to Evansville, and there is not much in between the hotel and the city.

Service was good, and friendly, but the free breakfast wouldn't be worth paying for anyhow. There is nothing else to recommend this place.

I stayed in this hotel several times due to its approximate to the company I was visiting. Otherwise, I will not choose this hotel. The breakfast selections are limited. Other than stale bagel and a waffle maker, there were not many choices. The room is clean but old. I checked into a room with an AC unit making noises like a truck. After I requested a room change, I was put into a room fitted for disabled person so that it is shower only bathroom with leaking faucet. Although the hotel webpage indicated free wired and wi-fi internet access, the room has no wired internet. I was stuck with intermittent wireless access only.

We spent 2 nights at the Fairfield Inn in Evansville, Indiana, during a driving trip that included St. Louis, Missouri, and Bonne Terre, Missouri. After a somewhat fair stay at a Holiday Inn in St. Louis and an uneasy stay at Super 8 in Bonne Terre, our experience at the Fairfield Inn was a welcome treat. We found the staff to be extremely pleasant, helpful and knowledgeable. The room was comfortable, clean and the temperature was easily controlled. The breakfast bar was well staffed and stocked with a healthy variety of food. This busy Inn appears to meet the needs of many travelers. We were impressed.
