We were favorably impressed when we walked into the lobby and got checked in with our reservation in under a minute. This part was very easy and well organized. Our room was clean. Our two queen size beds had LOTS of pillows (5 each) and maybe were just on the soft side for my preference (but not bad). I have to say that the room was really quiet and we didn't hear anything from anywhere all night. I also want to mention that the breakfast was really about the best of any of the continental breakfasts that I have ever had including pre-prepared French Toast that you could pop in the microwave. Waffles, hard boiled eggs, cereals, tea, coffee, apple and orange juice. I was having trouble with the microwave and someone was there right away to help me. All very nice with the added bonus of the fact that there was **plenty** of room to sit which you don't find everywhere. There was a nice fitness room available and a very attractive outdoor pool that would be nice to relax. I really can't say anything bad about this place. Location was realy convenient also for anything from the middle to the east side of Evansville. $105 (with all of the taxes) was the list price that we paid so maybe a little high depending on what you are looking for, but we liked it.

This is a pretty typical Fairfield Inn. Room was adequate and the hotel seemed clean and well maintained. One afternoon I went out for a jog in the neighborhood located behind the hotel and found the area safe and the homes well maintained. There are lots of chain restaurants near the hotel and the commercial area also seemed safe at night.

The Fairfield was your typical hotel, nothing fancy, but clean. We have family in Newburgh and Booneville that we were visiting and it was very convenient for that reason. The only complaints were that on our second day there, we were gone all day, came back to the room and the room was not cleaned. Someone has stuck a do not disturb on our door. Our sign was actually in our room. That was disappointing because it was 7 pm, so we were able to get fresh towels sent to our room and that was it. We did have 5 people in our room and I did have to call each day for extra towels. We needed a rollaway and it was the biggest rollaway I have ever seen. We had to squeeze it between the dresser and the two queen beds and fold it up in the morning so that we could walk around. Location was perfect. There are plenty of shops and resturants nearby. Breakfast in the morning was nice, although not a lot of tables/room in the dining area, especially on the weekend it was much busier. I will say I think this is the quietest hotel that I have ever stayed at. You did not hear another tv, faucet, shower, talking, anything from the other rooms next to ours. That was wonderful! I would definitely stay here again.

We usually stay in Marriott brand hotels when we travel. I have never given one a bad review, but feel I have to share about this one. First of all, we noticed right away that the beds were in bad shape. The bed ruffle had a big hole in it. We had no mattress pad, but just a sheet over our mattress.
At the complimentary breakfast, I was disgusted to see ants crawling all over the basket with the coffee creamer. It took me about five minutes to find anyone on duty. When I told her, she just went over shook her head and walked away, leaving the creamer on the counter. The basket was still there ten minutes later when we left to go back to our room.
Then when we were checking out, we looked under the bedskirt to make sure we hadn't lost anything. We noticed crumbs and wrappers from things we hadn't eaten there.

The only positive thing they had going was the outside pool was well maintained and clean.

We paid full price on this hotel and feel that Marriott really should do something about this hotel as it doesn't meet their standard at all. We go to Evansville often to visit family and will not ever stay at this location again.
