This is an old luxury hotel complete with glass elevators and a huge atrium. The atrium contains the pool which looked very nice and a small dining area. The walk from the parking lot to the room was long and circuitous. I assume a bellman or porter was available but none presented themselves to aid us in getting our bags to the room. No matter, we have wheeled luggage.

We we invited to a"Manager's Reception," which offered free wine, beer, and snacks. Since neither of us drink, that was a non-starter. I think they do the reception in lieu of a breakfast. There was no breakfast bar nor encouragement via a voucher for even some percentage off in the restaurant. I guess free beer is cheaper than breakfast.

The bathroom was small even by RV standards and clearly not ADA accessible. I assume those were available elsewhere. The hotel is layed out in two wings in a vee that a compasses the atrium. So plan on a long walk to your room.

Upon our departure, I informed the desk person that the clock radio in the room (216) was defective and made noises and flashed 12:00 all night. I reset it twice but it returned to 12:00. I tried to unplug it but the receptacle was (not to code) inaccessible behind the king bed platform. The extra pillows on the bed were employed burying the flashing clock. The bathroom sink drained slowly enough I couldn't even wash down my whiskers. The desk person wrote down NOTHING. I can only assume he has a really good memory.

Lesson learned... No more Holday Inns for us. Next time it will be Holiday Inn Express.

Wonderfully renovated hotel. Proof that an older property can be great, and even better than newer hotels, if maintained. Beds and bedding were wonderful, appreciated the large pool, atrium, and full service restaurant. Service was good and everything was clean, modern, and attractive.

This hotel was awesome! The staff I dealt with was very friendly. I loved the balconies on the rooms facing the atrium! The pool was at a decent temperature and the hot tub was great! This is a hotel where I can spend time at the hotel and not be bored - I can just watch the activity in the atrium from my balcony if I get bored. It was a bit outdated when I stayed, but it had just been purchased from Marriott I believe and they had videos in the elevators of what the hotel would look like after the remodel....I can't wait to go back and see the changes!

Hotel is going through renovation..and I can appreciate that. I think that should be mentioned when making reservations. Noise and dust are a part of it, but expectations are what people pay for. Since it is going through reneovation, I think price is high. Room not cleaned one day. Wife left Phone Charger in room. She called about it an hour after we left. No one returned our call. She called multipe times..finally gave up. We had to extend our stay a couple of days. Staff is good but needs to be a little more friendly and understanding of stay changes. Had to get my bill corrected before I left. I stay in hotels over 100 nights a year, and never have I had a hotel not provide paperwork up front, stating my rate and asking for photo ID. Those two items go to integrity of operation and security. The room was large, and that I appreciated. It has a lot of good, but still has a way to go to earn my continued business.
