Let me start with the pluses: a great location just off the interstate and with lots of restaurants nearby; comfortable beds; new fridge and microwave in room; very clean; very friendly and helpful desk staff; nice breakfast and lowest cost of all the motels in the vicinity.
There were a couple of small problems: the clock in the room didn't work (I had my own so didn't really care); there were oatmeal packets for breakfast but no bowl large enough to cook them in. I didn't report either issue - I suspect they both would have been remedied immediately, but we didn't really care that much.
But the big problem for us was the horrible smelling and tasting water. This may be seasonal and temporary since none of the other reviewers mentioned it. We used to live in a small town where the water was much like this for several weeks each spring. Perfectly safe to use and drink but tasted bad and smelled worse. This makes me wonder if is a central source (e.g. city water) and the surrounding motels would have the same problem. We always travel with plenty of water so just used our own, but if theirs is the only water like that, I would probably pay the extra $10 at another motel for improved water quality. (Neither of us got sick from it - I do believe the problem was just sensory, not any sort of contamination.)
Aside from that, I would have to give this Super 8 a solid "4." Definitely good value for the money. If we were in the area another time, I think I would stop in and get a drink from the water cooler (across from the breakfast room) to check it out before paying for a room. If the water is okay, then it's a good, comfortable, clean, low-cost place to stay.
