“Not bad for the money”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 November 2011

When looking at the exterior and while in the lobby, one would think he or she was in an upscale hotel. The check-in lady was extremely nice.

The room was TINY! The "king" size bed really filled the room and, with two people, it was really tight. The bed was low but pretty comfortable. The TV station selection was very limited and the picture on the tube screen was somewhat "grainy." The bathroom was ok, but the wall switch plate was missing two screws. The hotel did provide free wi-fi, but sometimes the movement through the internet was very slow, probably because so many people were also trying to access the internet.

Breakfast was included in the price of the room. The standard fare of belgin waffles, cereal and biscuits and sausage (minus sausage) gravy, and a few peices of fruit were offerred.

Overall, not a bad place for the money, and comparatively, this property was a lot cheaper than many other places in the Evansville area.

Room Tip: Rooms with two beds probably bigger than our room with one "king" bed.

“One of the loudest hotels i've ever stayed at.”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 September 2011

Let me start off by saying for $49.99 it is actually a really nice Econo Lodge compared to majority of Econo Lodges. With that said, it is by far the loudest hotel i've ever stayed at.

I travel for business and stay in hotels 2-3 nights a week. I have stayed here before with minor noise problems, but didn't want to spend much money and was in the area. Also, it's 245 AM and I'm still listening to it since 600PM when I checked in.

I think I hit the worst group of people to stay in hotel, it's not the hotels fault, so this review is basically an attempt to tell stupid people who tend to stay in hotels is: You are not the only one staying in the hotel. Stop slamming your doors and walking like an ogar!!! There are other people below you, next to you and acrossed from you that can hear you. BE CONSIDERATE!

As I speak a lady is up... 250AM and getting a big drink cooler and filling it with ice.... at 250AM!!! Why is it necessary at this time? Why??? Think a little bit people. I even said I'll just sleep in my work truck since i have to be up at 5.... And there are people in the parking lot listening to music next to my truck... Go figure....at 250AM...

When i'm leaving at 4 AM for work, i'll be making sure everyone hears me.. So if you stayed at this place on 9-27/9-28 and heard a lot of noise at 4-5 AM... It was me... Room 312 - your welcome

Room Tip: Yeah- stop slamming your doors

“good choice for evansville stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 14 September 2011

I stayed four days at this Econo Lodge just west of highway 164 off E. Morgan Ave. The place was clean, the staff was friendly and helpful, and the price was the best I could find in the area. The location was great since it provided easy access to I-64 going north and to Henderson, KY, going south. I definitely will stay here again. Please don't confuse this motel with the one on Highway 41.

Room Tip: I asked for a quiet room upstairs on the third floor and received it. I was told most truckers sleep...

“Good for the money - dog friendly - not fancy”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 July 2011

I visited my friends in Evansville, IN and thought this place was worth my money. The room was approximately $56.00 including the $10.00 dog charge ($10 / night) for dog. The room included a couch, chair, king size bed and good a/c. They had an okay breakfast and the staff was very firendly. There was an area near the parking lot for the dog to run and a YMCA near to enjoy. There are several restaurants in the area. Nothing seems to far to drive. This was a nice quiet location.

Room Tip: Good room rate for the money. I got the suite.

“Ugh!”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 June 2011

On the way back from Illinois we stayed at this Econo Lodge using free choice privillege nights. "Free", good coffee and location were its only redeeming qualities. Place absolutely reeked with some kind of cleaner or air freshener. I've slept better on a mat in a tent than on their stained matreesses. Bathroom was definitely not the cleanest, with some stained towels, dirt in the corners, mold spots on shower curtain.
Last morning we were there, a staff member woke us up early (6 am) talking in a loud voice to other employees. (Our room was right off the lobby.) Have to say the rest of the staff were friendly enough.
Timer on the waffle maker worked only part of the time, but staff kept up the breakfast items going well. The coffee was very good.
No fridge, so that was kind of a drawback. No pool, but don't know how well it would be kept up, anyway.
Would I stay again? Probably not, unless they improve their cleaning a lot, replace the shower curtains, matresses and bedspreads.
Location was great to get to shopping, movies and the main roads to attractions.
Could be a very nice place, they just need to really work at it and spend some $ on needed items.
