This motel is in a bad neighborhood, other motels in the area are so ghetto, the booking services won't list them. Barely acceptable for an adult males, if you smoke, you're welcome here, as all rooms are smoking. Bring your own ashtray, other guests were trying to bum cigarettes. Actually had a tiny refridgerator and microwave in a reasonable size room. It was almost clean, but had that dirty feel. Construction workers passing thru town who smoke or hookers would be target customers. Located on a strange frontage road, West side of US41N. Don't bring the kids or mom.
Trust me this hotel is terrible, I couldn't find one thing positive about it. Uncomfortable bed, smelly, dirty also the management team doesn't care about their guests at all. Expedia should be ashamed to offer a hotel like that.
OK, to be honest, we were not able to get into our designated hotel the first night for our scheduled vacation, so I searched on-line for a reasonably priced hotel to stay in that first night. After all, we got into Indiana late the first night, and we were only going to sleep, then leave the next morning. When we pulled in, the police were there. Apparently, this hotel is in a bad section of town, and they generate alot of unsavory characters. I saw alot of people walking around the premises very late that night. I didn't feel safe. Also, they told us there was a fold up bed for my son to sleep on, and it consisted of a set of bedsprings with a thin piece of material over it. He could not sleep on it. Breakfast??? Maybe, if you are there the minute they start serving it. If not, you do not eat. My husband and I had trouble moving around the next morning, due to the hardness of the bed. Very uncomfortable. Disappointing hotel. I guess the management feels that due to the fact that you can rent one of their rooms for a little bit of a better deal than most hotels gives them the right to not concern them with the needs of their guests. Trust me. Go ahead and pay the extra $10 or $20 and get a hotel that cares about the needs of their guests.
Traveling as a businessman is always a challenge. You can pay a lot and stay in the expensive hotels or risk being dissappointed on a budget . It has been my pleasure to stay in the Econlodge in Evansville several times, ever since they changed the management. The staff is courteous and the place is clean, with a pool, mini fridge, microwave, etc. It is an excellant value for a reasonable price. See for yourself.
