Not usually am I a normal Super 8 customer and this experience easily reminded me why. The staff including the 2nd shift and GM and wife the night of 11/12/10b were completey rude and actually very confrontational. Not after two minutes in our room which was a two bed standard room did we decide that this was in no way for us. The refridgerator was not operable until you found the secret switch, the tape job on the ceiling in the bathroom had failed from earlier in the day leaving the patch hanging at least six inches down exposing mold and deteriorating drywall. The bath tub had been extremely stained and the room was the size of a large closet, literally. Once we brought this to the attention of the second shift lady, she finished reading the paragraph of the book that she was into and said, "don't tell me about it, my manager will be in soon!" The manager did arrive about 10 minutes later with his wife and daughter and immediately became confrontational. To make the story short, once I explained to him that I was also a GM of a hotel company and that the room was unsatisfactory and we would like to check out he said no way. I told him fine we would return to the room but the whole experience had been terrible. His next comment was, "you have two minutes to get out!" This was shocking but I did say ok. He than said, "not you, your friends!" He inspected the room and than began to put blame of the condition of the room and bathroom on me. He told me that he was going to charge my card for the amount of the room and for all cost involving his earlier attempt on fixing the bathroom. I told him I would not and that I was leaving. He than proceeded to call the police on me. I told him I would be fine with this and that maybe they would come to a conclusion for us. Once I said this he hung the phone up and said that it was busy. Wow, what an experience!
