This is a great location for the Dunes area but our stay was unusual. When we checked in the first problem was what appeared to be dried feces on the underside of the breadspread. When that was pulled back, there were small stains on the pillow cases and sheet. We had two double beds, both sheets had small stains. The bed linens were yellowed and should have been retired long ago. They were nice about it, gave a new spread and pillow cases immediately. We left our room the next morning and I asked staff to please change the sheets and leave more towels, since there were few. This was done. The following day, when we returned to our room in the afternoon, nothing had been done. No made bed, no clean linens, nothing. Went to the desk and questioned what happened and was told by someone who was constantly sitting in the lobby area, that you have to tell the front desk when you leave if you want something done to your room or what you need! Say what? You have to TELL them you need clean towels? In a beach community? In contrast, before leaving that day, we were in our room when staff just opened the door without knocking at all! She looked at me and said "Oh, sorry, just wanted to see if you needed coffee.". Without knocking! Aside from bath and bed linens being thin and discolored, there was a chair by a desk that was so stained we had originally asked for a different room. But that room did not have a refrigerator, as we requested, but it did have the microwave that we asked for but didn't get! So we just switched chairs, ourselves! And along with all this, the furniture was really shabby. Nicked and scraped and ill-fitting. It would not be a concern usually, but when you put it all together, there must be better options. The only positive note I can say was the bathroom was clean. The continental breakfast passable. And front desk staff was friendly, when there.
