On February 3rd, 2011, I used the Marriott website to reserve 2 rooms at this hotel for Superbowl weekend in February, 2012. These reservations were guaranteed with my Visa credit card. Many months later (in October, 2011), I received a phone call from the hotel sales manager, Scott Damore, informing me that the hotel "was in an oversold situation" and that our reservations would most likely not be honored. This unfortunate news was confirmed by Mr. Damore in a followup email in December, 2011. The hotel did offer to find rooms for us in Kokomo, Indiana, but this would require an additional 70 mile roundtrip drive each time we returned to our hotel. By the time we were notified of this "oversold situation" in October, 2011, all of the other hotels in the Indianapolis area were completely booked. We were extremely dissatisfied with this hotel's refusal to honor "guaranteed" reservations and would advise other travelers to book elsewhere when staying in the Indianapolis area.

I always enjoy staying here. Staff is friendly and rooms are spotless. They are undergoing renovation right now so there was some dust and noise but nothing that disturbed my peace and quiet. They cancelled Happy Hour and lost Wi-Fi one night because of the work being done. I mentioned it in passing to the front desk clerk on my way out and thought nothing further if it because it wasn’t a big deal to me. An hour later I got an email from the hotel apologizing for the inconvenience and awarding me additional Marriott Reward points. Now that is customer service!

My mother and I stayed here for the weekend while visiting Carmel for a friend's wedding. There was a reserved block of rooms, which made it nice and I believe, a tad bit cheaper than if I would have booked myself online.
The Hotel was very clean and all of the employees are very nice. I would definitely stay here again and would recommend it to others.
The room is very spacious with a full kitchen (Full refrigerator, microwave, stove/oven, coffee pot) - they even include a bag of microwavable popcorn! (if you are a coffee drinker - grab a couple of the flavored coffee creamers in the lobby to bring up to your room for your coffee in the morning - that was a huge perk! it's something small, but it was nice to have!!)
They had a continental breakfast offered in the lobby in the morning, but we never made it down that early.
My ONLY complaint, other than the lack of 2 beds (they only offered a queen with roll-away couch - but it worked for my mom and I.) is that the noise level in the hallway was insane! we got a room RIGHT outside the elevator on the second floor and a group of people decided to congregate in the hallway OUTSIDE of their room around 10:30 p.m. just as we were about to go to sleep and it was so loud! sleep was not an option. I was on the phone with my husband and HE could hear the people talking outside. However, as I complained to him and looked out the peephole, I discovered that the inconsiderate people having the hallway party were our friends - fresh from the rehearsal dinner... so I was able to open the door and yell at them. :) But other than the noise in the hall (if you are lucky to not be staying the weekend that an entire wedding party and their families that have been drinking are staying next to you, then you will be fine!)
Everyone was very helpful and friendly. If I ever have to travel to that area again, I will definitely return to the Residence Inn. it was a great stay and a wonderful little hotel.

Went to Indy to visit family, and stayed here. The hotel itself is a mini-marriott complex with the Springhill Suites in the same parking lot, and a Renaissance down the street. The hotel is fairly new, and the two nights we stayed were perfect. The breakfast was even different on both days, which is something unheard of in my hotel stays. It helps that it is pet-friendly as well (although we did not travel with the dog this time).
