this is the worst hotel we've ever stayed at. The sign says "all new rooms" but the sign must have been erected in the 70's. This place smelled horrible, both chairs had nasty stains on them, one that looked like old vomit. the chairs were also ripped and just plain dirty. There was mold on the shower curtain and on the outside of the toilet. We wouldn't take out shoes off for fear of what was in the carpet. The sheets were yellow and the mattress stained. Needless to say, we didn't get into the bed. After a few hours we packed up and left. When we got home, we laundered every piece of clothes that came in contact with that room. We thought of going to the rather unfriendly lady at the check in desk but figured she wouldn't have cared less about our concerns. DO NOT STAY HERE!!

Okay so it's convenient, being right off the highway! However it is disgusting. It looks nice and decent from the outside. The staff is not very friendly at all. So after getting in our room, I wanted to turn around and walk right back out. My car was cleaner(with three kids). Wall's were all marked up and dirty. The room smelled. The bath tub dripped. Needless to say I have three small children the outlet on the wall was hanging out. Yeah not even screwed in to the wall. Just hanging out! Fire Safety hazard. On top of that you could see the outside from underneath the door, I actually had to place a towel down to block the Hot air from coming in the room(along with the bugs) If I wasn't so exhausted from driving 12hours that day i would have kept going. Instead I blocked things off, got some rest and got the heck out of there as soon as possible. Save your money seriously or splurge a little on something nicer. Besides worrying about my safety and my kids safety. I was worried about bugs. If you don't mind dirty then by all means enjoy yourself!

This may have been the worst motel I have ever been in. At first, the room seemed fine with new looking carpet. When we returned to the room after dinner I had a chance to really look. The room had not really been cleaned in a long, long, time. There was thick, greasy dust on T.V. counter edges, etc. One of the beds looked like it had been slept in because the sheets were very wrinkled - not like a freshly made bed! Sheets and towels are yellowed and stained. There was a hole in the ceiling instead of bathroom vent.
The breakfast was fine. Two cold cereals, muffins, bread and bagels, juice and coffee. Even though we were right on the freeway there was no freeway noise.
My sister is a hotel manager in Colorado and she says beware of motels owned by Patels because they are cheap, cheap, cheap and are known for turning once fine properties into dumps. I noticed this was a Patel owned motel as I checked out. Her advice proved true this time.
Stop in Crawfordsville for the Quality or Ramada Inns and you will have a nice experience.

I pulled in this hotel after getting turned aroound a bit :( at around 11:00pm. I was traveling from Iowa to Kentucky with my Chihuahua and needed a place for a short time only and figured...I am ex military...I have braved the worst of the worst...I can handle any hotel or motel...At least thats what I thought! This hotel had a couple of squad police cars there when I pulled up (not for leisure fun motel purposes either) Second, the middle eastern man behind the counter was NOT friendly at all nor am I sure he understood me when I asked how to get to my room from his "AREA". I got to the room and it stunk! Smelled HORRIBLE! It was musty, mildewy, and the moisture in the air made your skin feel just dirty. The alarm clock was broke well, after I plugged it in I found that out...but it also had pieces broken off it and I couldn't set the alarm. There are only MAYBE 10 tv stations and I am exagerating that probably. There was debris on the uncleanned floor. Walls were brownish and yellow dirty. The door latch was broken! I only had the dead bolt and decided on stuffing a chair under the door for extra security. READ the MOTEL welcome book...it will tell you why you need security as it states to remove valuables from vehicles and they are not responsible and locking your door to room...they are not responsible...blah blah blah. I was scared after reading welcome letter lets just stick with that. Last, all night long I heard my door handle jiggling...maybe I was deleriously tired but my dog barked all night long due to this and she ....NEVER barks. SWEAR! I can sleep in any hotel motel out there...but I was proven wrong by staying at this super 8. PLS be careful! 29yr Female
