Bluffton is a nice community with some nice stores, a couple nice restaurants, a nice hospital, a few nice businesses, a very nice state park, and one or two nice cultural events each year. It's nothing to get excited about...but it's nice.
The Holiday Inn Express fits right in with the niceness. Easy to find and conveniently located on the north edge of town on S.R. 1, it is clean, quiet, decently furnished and...well...nice. The free Continential breakfast is nice too, but it was the free wireless internet connection is the rooms that really got me excited. A small frig and microwave was a nice touch. There's even a very small but quite nice indoor swimming pool too, but we never saw anyone using it during our stay.
One extra nice fearture -- if you are traveling with a bunch or plan to stay awhile, they have a two-bedroom family suite with a living room. We didn't see it, but a family who had stayed the room told us it was very comfortable.
There is obviously no attached restaurant, but there are several nearby fast food places and pizza delivery. A short drive, however, will get you to better fare at the ElCamino Mexican Restaurant, Billy Ann's Supper Pub or the Market Street Steakhouse.
There isn't much choice in lodging in Bluffton -- I can only think of two hotels and one B&B -- and the Holiday Inn Express is a very nice choice.
