“Kept awake all night”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 June 2007

We were told that the pool was an indoor pool--but it's NOT! Don't stay here if you want to sleep. This motel has an attached bar which results in drunken and loud partygoers keeping you up all night long. The night clerk said there was nothing she could do and we should just wait it out. The manager later said she was sorry and we could stay there for free the next time (like I'd go through THAT again).

I booked the hotel because of a special event they were having. When I checked in, the staff did not know about the event.Even though the reservation said so, there was no refrigerator in the room. The front lobby was dirty and the room was just ok..There was a winter storm. Nothing was salted. BUT...
Nobody beats their military rate.(I am USAF ret.)
The gentleman at the front desk for the evening was just a saint!
If all you need is a place to sleep, and are on very tight budget ,they are just right for the task.

“Bad Experience”

The desk clerk had a difficult time checking us in, the security lock fell off the door, the dead bolt wouldn't work, the room smelled funny, the walls were dirty, a man was was arguing with his girlfriend in the parking lot and security guards had to come, there is apparently a bar in the hotel and there was an issue with many police cars at around midnight. We didn't stay past 12:30am. I usually don't write things like this, I always just let it go, but this was truly the most unbelievable experience I have ever had with overnight lodging.

“Worst Hotel Ward”

Graduation Weekend from IU is a scramble for hotel rooms. We booked ours a year in advance and considered ourselves lucky to get a room so near the college. This hotel was the dirtiest I have ever stayed in. The staff were inattentive or disinterested. Rooms lacked even the most basic amentities such as hair dryers, hair conditioner, lotion. Furniture was ripped and dirty. Carpets were caked with gum and stains and were threadbare. Beds and mattresses were old and in need of replacement. Bathroom towel bars fell off spontaineously in the night leaving gaping holes in the wall. Air conditioning consisted of a blower unit that left the room cool but humid.Shower head was clogged and ineffective. Room key frequently stopped entry and had to be re-activated twice in a 2 day stay. Continental breakfast was adaquate but 2 different people fell off their chairs on the uneven floor surface and mismatched chair heights. Hallways and walkways were dark and dirty.

  • Liked — convenience
  • Disliked — the poor condition of the rooms and lack of cleanliness

“Gross”

After two other nasty rooms (pubic hair in the bathroom, crumbs on the floors, cobwebs all over). We thought the "suite" was going to be sweet. Management promised they would "extra" clean the suite. Not only did it have the nastiest mildewy scent. The floor was wet and when bent down to get a closer look there were mushrooms growing on the carpet under the air conditioning unit, and the door jams was totally moldy. I hate to think of what it looks like under those carpets. I'm just hoping my family doesn't have any lasting effects of the mold. I have never had a bad experience with "cheap" hotels. But after this one I think I'll pay the extra just to make sure the room is clean. I definately would NOT stay here, or recommend it to my worst enemy
