We have stayed here many times to visit family. The staff is usually friendly, the breakfast is good and the rooms are decent. I am always suprised how much a room is here. We have had rooms where the airconditioner didn't work, TV or phone had problems and only some of the rooms have mini-fridges so check these things before you unpack. Oh, and get a room on the first floor...there is no elevator!

I stayed at this hotel with a friend as we were on a trip for fireworks. The hotel was very old and smelled a bit strange. The same goes for the rooms. Everything needed updating. The hotel was very poorly lit and very dark. It didn’t get much better in the rooms. The bathroom was nasty and the shower didn’t drain. In the 5 minute shower, I had water standing an inch or two above my ankles. The beds were ok, but didn’t seem up to par with other Hampton beds.

The only positive was the staff. They seemed friendly during the limited interaction I had with them.

Easy to find on NE side of the Interstate, the Hampton is clean, in good repair and priced right. Workout room is small and basic. Batesville, Oldenburg and Metamora are well worth a day's sightseeing.

This is a very good hotel in the middle of nowhere in Indiana. The rooms are updated with newer furniture, nice big beds, free wifi, LCD tv, and free breakfast. One down side of the place is no elevator to the 2nd floor.
