This Hampton Inn building is different from any of their other properties - I think it must have been another chains hotel at some point. Which is not a negative but just a comment.
Check-in was easy and fast. They also were happily able to provide me with flatware and a plate for my take-out meal because the restaurant I went to forgot to do so. Very pleasant and accomodating with my request.
The room had a small frig and microwave, an easy chair, desk and chair and was a good size and newly updated with the exception of the actual bathtub/shower area. New flooring, toilet (wish they were not all so low!) and vanity area with a sold surface top. For some reason the shower enclosure and tub were not replaced. I doubt it was a wise choice because as time goes on it is going to look older than it already is. And, when older, this means not looking as fresh and "clean" as the rest of the bathroom. It is not to say it wasn't clean, it was, but just a note for some who might be fussier than I am. It could use some updating.
The walls in this property (which is older) has the same issue as many older buildings, the walls are thinner. So, I did hear some muffled chatting - which did not bother me but might someone else.
The housekeeping staff tends to slam a lot of doors and yell out "housekeeping" while cleaning so if you want to sleep late here (check out is noon), you might have a problem come 9 a.m.
I did not have breakfast so cannot comment on that but the area was updated and very comfortable looking.
Overall, I would certainly stay here again as none of the
Comfy bed and good linens, nice fluffy white towels and all the comforts of home.
