“Decent Hotel, Could Use Some Updating”

I was able to get a corporate rate of $89, but I don't think I would be willing to pay the full price of about $125. The hotel has a decent resturant and lounge area and as a platnium priority club member I was put on the executive level of the hotel where there was a free happy hour with apps and drinks. I did not take advantage of this but did take advantage of the free breakfast, which was decent. The hotel seemed pretty clean but I did notice a lot of stains on the tile and carpet, which kind of grossed me out. Also, the tolietries that were left in my room were dirty and half used. The bedspread was also kind of old, and in general the room could use a bit of a freshening up. The location is convinent to the highway and I would consider staying here again if I could get a low rate.

went to hotel and seemed alright but when we got to the room is had the most powerful air freshner that ive ever encountered...basically had to turn to ac on to get rid of it...keep in mind that is freaking jan in the chicago-land area...the front desk was ok...the bar agreed to put on the packer game for us and was very nice even tho she had a urlicher jersey on...theres a denny and a target close by as well as other resturants and convinece stores...ok is probly the best compliemnt this hotel deserves...it does have free internet n the lobby...that was nice

My company has used this hotel for many years, however it seems this hotel has had it's day in the sun!
The advantages (Very few) are a good breakfast and a restaurant/bar on site.
The disadvantes are the hotel rooms are old, run down, carpets dirty, bedding old, bathroom floors worn, showers run down.
The hallways are often not clean and have a certain unpleasant odor.
All in all, this Holiday Inn is not one of my favorites. I would stay at the Spring Hill Suites in Burr Ridge for a more enjoyable stay!

Stayed here a few times on business because its close to where I need to be. Cannot say anything really good or bad but I guess could be a little cleaner. As with many hotels in the USA as opposed to Europe, it has free internet access.

I went on internet to find suitable accomadations for myself and my sons for a mini vacation. Stress my guts out, booked one hotel only to cancel at last minute because of bad reviews. I ended up booking at a hotel near this one, actually drove by it and told my boys that we were just going to "pop" into the holiday inn and just check it out. From the moment I walked in EVERYONE was wonderful.... We looked at the pool ( which was great) and my deciding factor was the shuttle that ran to the train station. We were given a 3rd floor room that smelled sooo clean and was very nice. Food was great, Location was great, STAFF was AWESOME.... they help to get us to our fun spots. I never felt pushed to the side at all. I will be going back to this hotel. NO stress at all getting to the train station that took us to Shedd Aquarium and back. I am trying to help someone else have a stress free vacation in chicago... because I spent many hours trying to find a safe, clean and helpfull hotel for our vacation.
