This definitely does not deserve 2.5 stars - at best a 2! I booked thru Hotwire at a VERY low price - under $35/night I think it was. It served it's purpose - it was a cheap one night hotel I needed on the way to visit family. The room was clean so that alone deserves it the 2 stars at that rate.

But then it was extremely small (really only big enough for one person), shower stall only in a bathroom as big as a closet, hard bed with only 2 pancake flat pillows (one per person). Then the smoke alarm started beeping around 6am - unfortunately it was wired, not battery operated. The A/C was working when we went to bed, but stopped working sometime during the night. I also left something in the room. I called the day after we checked out and was told I would be called back in 5 minutes - I had to call back the next day.

Even if I was traveling out this way again, I don't know if I would stay here again. The check-in staff was fairly helpful - not so good at giving directions, but he tried. And the check-out staff really didn't seem to care about the problems with the room (smoke detector & A/C), or looking for the item I left in the room.

If I could give this hotel a negative I would. Where do I begin, first of all I specifically asked for a non-smoking room. Only to get up to my room and what do I get a smoking room. The beds were tiny...I felt as though I was sleeping in my 8 year old son's twin bed. The walls were paper thin, I could hear laughing and talking in the room next to me. I heard trains and and traffic all night long too.
The whole experience was a total nightmare. Hotwire rated this a 2.5 star...........are you kidding me????

I previously stayed at this hotel 2 years ago and my experience then was a positive one.

My stay at the hotel this year was very disturbing and unpleasant. The carpets were filthy and very nasty. The AC unit was leaking and caused the carpet to be wet and the room smelled very musty. There was an excessive amount of trash build-up in the corridors and this caused a stench and an abundance of flies to walk through.

I will never book at this hotel again.

I stayed here Sept 2005. The room smelt like stale smoke, and the A/C was undecided if it wanted to be warm air or freeze me out.

It's a HIKE to get anywhere unless you have a car... even to fast food or a gorcery store!!

The highway noise is a nuisance, however what made my stay pleasurable was the helpful staff... they're very nice here and went out of their way to try to accomodate me.
