“Nice area and hotel”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 December 2011

I am a bit spoiled so if I review a hotel as average it would be considered above average for most travelers. This hotel was convenient to visit our daughter, was clean and comfortable. The price was a bit high but we did get a one bedroom suite so I guess you get what you pay for. Front desk was nice but they don't have any kind of breakfast in the morning. Room was clean, bed was comfortable.

“Do not waste your money”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 December 2011

I stayed here for 3 months. They called me at 10:30am and told me to vacate by noon. They had overbooked and my room was no longer available. I was in Chicago working. I lost wages and nearly lost my job. They said that if I didn't vacate, they would move my stuff to the curb. I spent $3077 and this is what I get.

“Basic accommodation but loud equipment still a problem”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 November 2011

This is a basic "somewhere to sleep" hotel. The room was fine - the small cooktop, full-size fridge and microwave are a definite plus - and everything worked as advertised. Unlike another reviewer, the noise of the fridge didn't bother me, but I have to agree about the fan on the heater. It was so loud I couldn't hear the TV over it, and I jolted awake once or twice the first couple of nights until I learned to filter it out.

Travelling on business, the reliability of the WiFi is always a concern and these guys were rock solid. I never had any issues with the connection in terms of speed or quality which was a very nice surprise.

The Candlewood Cupboard was helpful the first night since there is NOTHING immediately around the hotel but it's very basic - frozen dinners, juice/water/pop, junk food, sandwiches - enough for a night, but not to feed yourself for an extended time. There's a Super Target about 5 or 10 mins down the road along with lots of restaurants which kept me supplied most of the week I was there.

Not sure I would necessarily stay here again, but I wouldn't NOT stay. There was nothing wrong with the hotel, it was just very bare bones.

“Functional but just too plain and dated”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 October 2011

I spent a night here on business. The place is very functional and reasonably priced but absolutely unimpressive. It just felt like I was living in the 70’s again with older everything… linens, TV, décor, furniture. I’d just plain rather stay at a more inspiring place, so probably wouldn’t return.

“Price is right ,but a 40 minute metra ride to town”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 August 2011

Room was clean, staff was friendly, good value for the money. If you are planning on commuting into downtown the Naperville Metra station is about 5 minutes away. It takes about 40 minutes to get to Union Station and then if you're going to the North Side you can tack on another 35-45 minutes so while the public transit is nice you're going to spend a significant part of your day on subs/trains staying this far out from Chicago.
