“Excellent staff!!! 4 stars”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 February 2012

Spent a week at this hotel in January 2012 for a work conference nearby. The rooms were spacious, and decorated with a modern flair. I have to say the staff was the best hotel staff I have ever seen. From the front desk, to the breakfast servers, to the bartenders, everyone was friendly, very customer oriented. It is located centrally to many restaurants and shopping choices, and the hotel shuttle will take you within a few miles. I would absolutely stay here again.

“Indigo Vernon Hills is the Tops!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 December 2011

First I want to say I have stayed at lots of hotels over the years and everytime I come back to the Indigo they always make me feel at home! This hotel is in the middle of everything from a mall, lots of resturants, grocery stores, Walmart and Target!

The beds are comfortable, the rooms have everything you need from home. There is a bar down stairs, which is nice to have a night cap and not have to drive. Great free shuttle.
Brittany Ratz is such a warm friendly person, she was a delight everytime we asked about where stores were to what was new in the area.

You will not be dissappointed if you stay at this hotel!

“Modern hotel with large rooms”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 November 2011

I stayed here for one night in November for a business trip. My first impression of the hotel was it looks colorful and modern with a small bar right at the entrance. My room was located on the first floor. I definitely liked the layout of the room and how spacious it was. It was bigger than many apartments in NYC! It had a couch, a desk, flat screen TV on the wall, drawers, a standing shower and the king size bed was decorated with multiple sizes of pillows. The little shampoo and conditioner bottles were from Aveeno, which I totally loved.

The only downside of this room is:
1. the walls were thin – you could hear the guests next to your room opening drawers, closing doors, etc…
2. the sink looked trendy, but it was not deep enough. Whenever I turned on the water too quickly, it would splash on my clothes. There was also no hanger for the towels, so you had to leave the towels right next to the sink.

I would definitely recommened this hotel though for it’s location and spacious room. It's great for business travelers, if they have to stay in that area for a few days.

“Ok rooms, but lack of attention to quality”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 October 2011

Workout room is tiny, and has 2 5lb dumbells, and 2 10lb dumbells, what's a fella to do with those?

The room doors close like they are loaded on an industrial spring, if no effort is made to ease the door as it closes, it will slam shut, potentially waking everyone on the floor.

The room walls are well insulated for sound, however, there is a gap under the door to the hallway, which allows for all but the smallest sound to enter the room from the hallway. ie: people talking, doors slamming ect.

Evening lounge staff is awesome and about the only good thing I can say about this hotel, meals are ok and bar selection is decent. Night and morning staff was questionable, as it late night availability of vending machine (vending machined for beverages only, no food vending, so once the restaurant closes... you are SOL). Breakfast staff was impolite and unable to get my order correct 2 mornings in a row, now did they even acknowledge me as I was standing at the counter waiting to order a coffee... there were perhaps only 3 people dining, so cannot use the we were busy excuse.

Too bad.

“Nice lobby bar area, awesome free shuttle service”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 October 2011

This is a great hotel for the area. The rooms are clean and standard. The best part is they offer a free shuttle service and I use it to go to work and get picked up after work back to the hotel. For someone like me who doesn't drive it's got a Wal-Mart within 10 min walking distance as well as a Dunkin Donuts. The lobby coffee selections are good offering fancy coffees in addition to the normal brew kind for a price.

The only thing that is weird are the sinks are shallow, about 1.5 - 2" inches deep. I alway get water everywhere.

Front desk staff is great, very friendly and helpful and it seems to be patronized by a lot of business travelers so I've met some nice people and it's patrons are typically working professionals in town for short visits.

If they changed the sinks I'd rave about this hotel but oh well it's otherwise really good in a good location for walking around and exploring on foot.
