The only reason I ended up in here is the price. Like the previous reviewer has pointed out, this property is mainly catered to long term stay visitors. If you are in town just the duration of less than a week, Courtyard on Milwaukee Ave or Homewood Suites at Rt 22 might be a better choice.
I have stayed at other ESA properties, this is definitely not up to par with their standard. The front desk staffs were friendly and polite though!

For a low price near shopping and highway, you get an "apartment-like" room with full cooking and refrigerator facilities. This hotel's primary business is long-term stays of weeks to months -- service at front-desk is not well focused on short visits, check-in was time-consuming. Check-out was quick and friendly.

As others noted, the cooking in rooms makes for an unpleasant smelling hallway. Some rooms appear to allow smoking which can be well smelled in the hallway.

The room's heater was a wall heater which could be noisy, switching on and off / squeaky. The TV was an old-style CRT, not a flat-screen.

For a cheap hotel, this was a good place. Don't expect much and do derive value from the kitchen and you'll be in good shape. Per my rating, I'd rate this "average", 3 out of 5. A little more care with their weak spots and they could easily rate better.

$5 one-time charge for internet. Higher price (another $5+) for high-speed internet. This is a one-time charge, not per night.

Bad smell in the room and in the corridor,
The room is cleaned once a week (and I´ve stayed there for only 4 days, so no right to have the room cleaned). Old furniture and electronics and the towels seems like a sandpaper.

We checked in on Thursday night. No towels in the room. And could someone please explain burn holes in the blankets in a "non" smoking hotel?

Our AC went on the fritz Friday, by Monday it's still intermittent. The temperature outside is in the mid 80's.

On a good note, the front desk does have quarters for the laundry facilities.

This is not the worst hotel I've stayed in, but it's close.
