I’ve stayed at this hotel about 3 or 4 times, and over all have been happy with the stay each time. It’s located in a busy area as far as hotels are concerned. It also has plenty of restaurants in the immediate area which shopping just a short car ride away. The hotel it’s self is nothing flashy, but that is made up for with the cleanliness and friendly staff. The rooms could use some updating, but are still in great shape. I thought the rooms were very quiet too. You don’t hear much noise from the halls, or from the rooms next door.

Stayed for one night for a concert. The location was perfect for the concert as it was so close, but it wasn't particularly close to any public transport. The only sane way to the train station is by taxi. On the map it looked close, so we were crazy enough to try and walk it... was the worst 40 minutes ever! The hotel staff were not particularly helpful in directing us to the station. One told us Oak park was a 5 minute walk... had we done it, it would have been over an hour and we would have gotten lost. Otherwise, they were efficient and helped us arrange transport to the concert no problem. On big concert nights a local taxi firm runs a shuttle service for $5 per person each way.
As for the hotel it was clean and very comfortable. The breakfast was continental, but there were hot food items as well.
We heard from others that their hotels in the same area for the same purpose were terrible, so we were very pleased. There is food establishments close by as well, that seemed to be open quite late.

Hampton Inn is usually a good place to stay. This particular hotel needs a little help though. Upon arrival to the room it was a little dirty looking. When I pulled back the sheets I found a couple of hairs & could not tell by smell if the sheets were clean. It was so late when I got to the hotel that I did not complain. Upon talking to friends the next morning they voiced the same concern. It was not the worst hotel I have ever stayed in but would not be at the top of my list if I visit the town again. It is in a good location.

You can see the hotel when you get off I80, it is just getting to the place that can be a hassel because of the traffic. There is a sit down restraurant close by and also fast food. They had cookies at the front desk when I checked in. The decor is a little dated, the breakfast area does get crowded in the mornings. This is a good value for the area.
