From the outside hesitated to even check in (not too impressive) but the inside lobby was clean and front desk was friendly, check in was fast.
The rooms are average (the price isn't a 5 star). The room was clean and bathroom was clean (important!) But the bathroom are TINY!!!
Our room faced the road so heard road noise and people one night loudly talking outside our window late at night. If you like a super dark room - this room is not. The light from outside shines around outer curtain and curtain doesn't completely close together so I safely pinned it. The beds were hard and a little lumpy, and pillows not great. Didn't try the free breakfast.
So not bad and not great for $89 a night

I should have read the other reviews. Could feel the box springs in the bed, blankets and towels looked old and dingy. Rooms not clean. The whole hotel was dated. Worst night ever for sleeping. They put us in a room with an adjoining door and the man next door coughed all night long keeping us up. Come to find out the next morning, they only had 10 rooms rented so they could have spaced people apart. Staff not friendly and even at check out no one asked how was your stay..which might have been a good thing because I would have told them (if they bothered to ask).

We stayed at the Comfort Inn in Sycamore in October of 2010. The lady at the front desk was rude. She accused me of having too many people staying in my room prior to me even checking in. She would only give me one room key and I had to bring another person in to get an additional key. The sink is not located in the bathroom. It is in the room itself. It smelled smokey in the room and the hallways. If I would have known how bad this place was, I would have paid the extra $40 for a better hotel.

Was very expensive. A smoking room was cheaper on their web site. I should have taken it because the non-smoking room they gave me smelled terrible (not from smoke, but from whatever they used to cover it up).

I had to go across to Walgreens and buy lots of room deodorizer.

There was even a pack of Marlboro's left on the desk in the room. How nice of them.

No plugs near the desk. What were they thinking when they designed this place?

Very obvious the owners just don't care. Take your money and run. I'm sure they don't expect anybody to stay there a second time.
