We stayed in room 310. My daughter was woke in the night and said there was a bug in her bed. We captured the bug, wraped it in a tissue & put it under a bowl. A few hours later I woke and saw another bug on her bed. It may have been the same bug because we didn't find the one in tissue under the bowl so it escaped. We got up and left in a hurry leaving the 2nd bed bug under a glass on the counter for the hotel manager. Because we left so early there wasn't staff on duty but the manager has been informed.
There was mold in the bathroom. The floors had "debris" left on them. The carpet and chair were stained and dirty. One pillow had the case on inside out. That made us wonder if it was just turned inside out rather than cleaned. The kitchen area looked clean.

The room was booked on Priceline. We already had two other hotels on our list incase this place turned out to be a dump.
We were pleasantly surprised. We received one of their newly renovated rooms. It looked great! New hardwood floor and clean carpet. The bathroom was clean. The kitchen could have used some bleach, but other than a few stains, appeared clean. The room was large, with a table, chair and lounge chair. I checked the sheets, pulled them back, looked at the mattress, no stains, and the sheets and covers looked and smelled clean.
Unfortunately, looks are very deceiving! The next morning I noticed while I showered these red whelps, and raised little bumps on my upper arm, and on my side. They itched! They were only on my left side, which was the side I slept on. I would have just thought it was mosquitoes but the other side that was exposed didn’t have any bites.
I went to the Dr, because there were so many bites on my arm and the red rash wasn't going away and he said they were bed bug bites. Talk about feeling your skin crawl. Never would have suspected it, because the place looked nice. Goes to show you never know, next time I will have to carry some bug spray.

We were visiting relatives in Evanston and not prepared to pay for the overpriced Orrington. So, we looked in Skokie which is very close. This place is really bare bones. The conservation light bulbs gives the room an eerie look. The room is clean enough. But there is a complete lack of warmth. I will say this, we had closed the heavy drapes which closed out the morning sun and we over slept. So, we got a good nights sleep. We pad $115 and next time would pony-up for the Hampton Inn, right next store.

My wife and I stayed here Saturday July 28through Monday July 30, whie visiting our son in nearby Evanston. Evanston hotels were $100 per night more for the weekend, so a slightly out of town cheaper option beckoned. The hotel is next to a giant mall, (old Orchard--Nordstroms, L and T, etc etc)which has a great breakfast restaurant(part of Maggiano's Little Italy, but with a separate name that eludes me), and is but a 10-12 minute drive to downtown Evanston. While the skokie property shows some signs of wear, and the appointments and services don't compare with the hilton garden Inn or Orrington in Evanston, nevertheless the place was clean, convenient and essentially what we expected. The staff was extremely helpful, giving me access to the front desk internet connection for last minute travel research and to print our boarding passes. We'd return again, especially in nice weather, when walking any distance in evanston is not problematic(in sub freezing weather, we prefer greater proximity to the campus).
