I would STRONGLY recommend never booking a room her. First, we booked a two bed room, nonsmoking to be placed in a one queen size room, smoking. When asked to be changed, despite our reservation, we were declined. We asked for a room with a recliner which they were able to accommodate us with this request as one of us would be sleeping in the recliner and one in the bed. First impression was the overwhelming smell of smoke..disgusting. The windows were open when we arrived. Management was probably trying to air out the smell. Next, the carpets were horrendously filthy...stained and dirty. I had to throw away a pair of white socks after walking on the carpet and floor. We closed the windows to turn the air on and circulate the air in the room. The windows were so filthy you could not see out of them. The bedspread, although fairly new, had burn holes in it and stains on it. There were several burn marks in the bathroom (tub, counter, floor). The two desk tables in the room were disgusting....like someone had wiped snot all over the sides of the desk. The waste basket in the kitchen was not emptied from the last tenant and it smelled when we opened the cabinet door. The TV was maybe a 19 inch color with VERY LIMITED channels. If you wanted CNN or Headline News .. forget it. A few of the electrical sockets were missing face plates which is a safety hazard to families with little kids. Now on to the recliner which was going to serve as a bed for one of us....it was horrible. Dirty, smelly, and gross. I didn't even want to touch the handle to open the leg recliner. Covered it with a sheet the first night and used a sheet and blanket to cover up. We didn't even unpack anything and the items we used we put right back in our suitcase and zipped it up. Who knows what you might be bring home with you. A few of the lights by the bed did not work. Although the toilet and tub looked clean and seemed clean .. the thought of touching the handle or light switch disgusted up. The refrigerator was clean inside, again the handle dirty and you didn't want to touch it. It also sounded like a big trucking idling all night. Hands are so dry from washing them every time we touched something. Seriously it would have been better camping somewhere or sleeping out in the car .. which was a thought. If you wanted fresh towels each day, you had to take your old ones to the front desk and exchange them. First impression of the front desk was not good. The young woman checking us in was some what rude and hard to understand. There was an older women working as well and she tried to be a little more accommodating, but nothing could help with the experience. At night, the front desk as bars across it and upon checking out the young man was not very friendly either. In a business, it is always nice to say to your customers "Thank you" :"Your welcome" "Have a good day" anything polite would have been nice. Major customer courtesy classes needed at this establishment. I understand it is a 2 star establishment and we shouldn't expect grand pianos in the lobby or a beautiful granite check-in counters, but a little bit of cleanliness is important. Never again will be EVER stay at a Extended Stay facility. We used Pricline and followup with a call to the hotel to make sure we would have double beds and non-smoking. We had confirmation of this as well. Two other couples checking had the same problem. They used Expedia. Wonder if this is the hotel industries way of discouraging customers from using these alternative booking agents. If anything, this stay has discouraged me from ever staying at another Extended Stay facility.
