“Nice Room but It's the Little Things”

In general i'm a fan of HGI properties. This property had the right room at the right price but ultimately a few small issues soured me on the hotel as a whole.

At check-in i was assigned a room on the 3rd floor. The elevators were quick and in great shape. Upon arrival on the 3rd floor i was greeted by a small that i can best describe as body odor. I have no idea what it was or why it was there but it was strong, powerful and quite nasty. When i arrived at my room neither of the keycards would open the door so i had to make my way back to the front desk to have them reprogrammed.

The second set of keycards did get me into the room. The room was very nice with a comfortable bed, nice size flat screen tv and a fridge and microwave provided. The room was cold upon arrival and since it was late i turned up the thermostat and crawled into bed. The heater in the room did not work well at all. The room was still too chilly even the following morning.

The bathroom was nicely updated with a nice stand-up shower area. What wasn't nice, however, was the absolutely horrible water pressure which even made getting shampoo out of hair a chore. My normal 10 minute shower was pretty much doubled to 20 minutes. I did notice the following morning that the two coffee packets in my room were both decaf. I called down and was told that some would be sent up immediately. This unfortunately never happened.

The high speed internet was free and had good speed.

Our sincere apologies for missing some of the little things during your most recent stay. Our goal is to provide superior service for each of our guests and that truly means attention to detail, including proper coding of keys, correct coffee, proper heating, and water pressure. I assure you that these missed items were an exception to the norm as again, our goal is 100% guest satisfaction. We appreciate the feedback.

we have stayed in all the major schaumburg area hotels, and this is as good as it gets. Great room with adjustable, state of art beds,nice sheets, excellent bathroom. We had one of the Hiltons' packages which featured a free hot breakfast, and it was really well done with a great many tasty choices. Staff was all very friendly and the hotel looks brand new, it is very clean and comfortable, warm and inviting! rooms very reasonably priced as well.

“Some very good things, but terrible beds.”

The hotel, in general, is very nice. The adjustable bed is HORRIBLE. Our group had a few rooms and comments ranged from "sleeping on bricks" to "sleeping on a bag of sand". Personally, even on the softest setting, it was the hardest bed I've slept on. I tried the other bed in our room and it was the same. Then the wake up call system didn't work and many of us were late the next morning. Other that those two things, the hotel was very nice, clean, and the staff very helpful. However, to me, the terrible bed overshadowed all things the hotel did well.

Room Tip: If sleep is important, try a different hotel.

We received your reveiw and appreciate the feedback. Our apologies for the lack in bed comfort and the wake up calls. The beds are designed to appeal to all, however, there may be cases where the comfort levels do not match. Hopefully we were able to resolve the wake up issue with you prior to check out as we want to look at the reason behind a process not being carried out.

“Remarkable find!!!”

This hotel is a wonderful example of a Hilton property. It is out of the way but truly convenient to all the local attractions, Woodfield Mall and the great resturaunts in Schaumburg. Staff is great and the operations manager Andrea was truly helpful and friendly. I will stay again when in town.

This place was much better than expected. Friendly staff, clean bathroom, and nice breakfast. Great value for the money.
