“Beware of "resort" charges”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 February 2012

We stayed for a conference Feb 6 and 7, 2012. Only 1 restaurant was open for lunch and dinner and the only place for breakfast was a buffet which was all closed up at 9am. The indoor pool and whirlpool is closed for repairs. There When the final bill was left under our door there was a $10 per night resort fee added to the bill. The walls are very thin and you can hear the neighbors talking even though it is not loud.

“Exellent family, singles and couples getaway. Lot's to do at Hotels facilities all year round!”

Stayed at the Pheasant Run Resort in a suburb of Chicago on Jan 28 for 1 night. Many activies available. My favorite is the indoor/outdoor pool. In the winter now it's freezing outside but you can swim underneath 2 window sections to get to the outside pool. It's so cool to see the steam rising out of pool and the snow but your still very warm in the water. It's awesome!

It's a expansive Hotel and has it's own 18 hole golf course. Rooms are spread out in 2 floor units and also has a 15 floor tower with rooms which are vey nice with great views of the course Also great theatre with plays attached to this hotel along with Zanies Comedy Club and Convention center and restraurants ---- Bourbon Street with shops and food, ice cream is also really nice!

Great getway for families with kids! Will love it! Actually fun for everyone!

Room Tip: The Tower rooms are larger but the 2 floor units you don't have to wait for elevators

“WINTER WONDERLAND!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 December 2011

Having been here only in the summer, in the past, I often wondered how it would look in winter! So I planned an 'adventure' for mid-December to see for myself.. I knew I could take the shuttle into St Charles for Christmas shopping or swim the outdoor/indoor pool if I so chose, but couldn't tear myself away from the beautiful setting both indoors and out! Long walks, sometimes windy, sometimes sunny -knowing I could pop right back inside anytime it suited me.. I delighted in seeing, everywhere I turned, Christmas decor!! I asked how long it took, and when, to bring this holiday atmosphere to the building? It was a sweet story more than one person told me.. "Shortly before Thanksgiving, one night everything 'looked normal', but by morning as people entered, they saw (What I Now Saw) Elves (an army of employees) had worked their magic throughout the night! Wish I had known when that night had been planned.. Maybe next year I will come and watch.
I awoke my last morning to see snow (I don't think their elves did that) but whomever~~ I was out enjoying the walk -over freshly cleared paths! (Elves' work?)..There had been trips to the near-by theatre, great food, and a massage (or two). What a wonderful "Twelve Days Before Christmas!! WAZ was in Wonderland!!

Room Tip: Seeing a map of the resort, they have wings that spread in different directions and a tower of room...

“and the winner of the bed wars is.........”

As usual, it was a great weekend, just never enought time. It rises like it should be the control tower for DuPage Airport. It's not. It's the tower section for Pheasant Run. The first thing you'll notice with the tower rooms are the elevators, quiet and quick. My advice is to go high. When you open the door and look into the room you'll see the horizon. There is virtually nothing to block the expansive views except maybe a low cloud. I love the view late at night and early in the evening. Yes, we leave the curtains open. And yes, we never heard any planes. It was one of the quitest rooms we have stayed in. The last thing you'll remember about the room is how great the bed was. In the ever escalating battle of the beds Pheasant Run has the best I've come across. We didn't have the room service but judging by the way the trays came and went in the hallway it must be good.

Despite it being a busy Halloween weekend we were checked in quickly by a friendly staff member who was able to tell us everything we asked about the hotel. It's a big place and it had a lot going on. We got in late so we went with the dinner at the bar off the hallway and watched the Wisconsin game. The crowd passing by was just as entertaining. There were hot looking witches, colorful bridesmaids, all sorts of minature characters we were assuming were children and wet and dry swimsuits going to and from their unique indoor/outdoor pool.

We were up and out early for a 10k race Sunday morning. Despite the eclectic crowds of people the night before the place was immaculate in the morning. Don't know how the staff was that cheery in the early yet they were. We were back again that night and repeated the process with another early out on Monday. It's a great change from the generic hotels and if you like views and a good bed it's got it all.

Room Tip: Go high, the views are great.

“Fantastic stay!”

We had an overnight stay there recently with seven, 12-year old girls for our daughter’s birthday party. What a fantastic experience for kids and adults alike! Service was the BEST! Pools were great, tons to do for the kids, relaxing for the adults. Pheasant Run’s General Manager, Mr. Ousman Conteh and his staff made this stay one of the best experiences we’ve ever had at a resort or hotel.
