Having been here only in the summer, in the past, I often wondered how it would look in winter! So I planned an 'adventure' for mid-December to see for myself.. I knew I could take the shuttle into St Charles for Christmas shopping or swim the outdoor/indoor pool if I so chose, but couldn't tear myself away from the beautiful setting both indoors and out! Long walks, sometimes windy, sometimes sunny -knowing I could pop right back inside anytime it suited me.. I delighted in seeing, everywhere I turned, Christmas decor!! I asked how long it took, and when, to bring this holiday atmosphere to the building? It was a sweet story more than one person told me.. "Shortly before Thanksgiving, one night everything 'looked normal', but by morning as people entered, they saw (What I Now Saw) Elves (an army of employees) had worked their magic throughout the night! Wish I had known when that night had been planned.. Maybe next year I will come and watch.
I awoke my last morning to see snow (I don't think their elves did that) but whomever~~ I was out enjoying the walk -over freshly cleared paths! (Elves' work?)..There had been trips to the near-by theatre, great food, and a massage (or two). What a wonderful "Twelve Days Before Christmas!! WAZ was in Wonderland!!
Room Tip: Seeing a map of the resort, they have wings that spread in different directions and a tower of room...
