“Average Hotel but great location for business traveler.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 February 2012

It is an average Residence Inn Hotel. A little dated and the bed was just o.k. I didn't have water pressure one night but I called down to the desk and it was fixed in less than an hour. I stayed on the 3rd floor and had no problems with airplane noise which was my biggest concern. The best thing about the hotel is its location for the business traveler. It was next to a Target and several restaurants. I would stay there again if I was in town for business for more than a week.

“Very friendly, good value”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 February 2012

I stayed here one night on business for a 2 day training session on site. I highly recommend it. First of all, the 2 most important things are clean rooms and friendly staff. The room was clean and the staff went over and above to be friendly and accomodating. The room was very large and layed out nicely. I did notice as seen in other reviews, that the queen size bed as rather small. I am not sure that it actually was a queen as it seemed shorter and narrower than my bed at home. However, I was alone, so no big deal. Had my wife had been with me, it would have been a problem for me.

While there is no food to speak of on the premises, there are places to walk to or they will shuttle you to a restaurant for free. I had been traveling since the early morning and decided to simply eat what they had at the social hour. It wasn't much, but I had 2 bowls of chicken noodle soup with a large salad and 2 glasses of wine. It was all good and free. Also, they had a nice breakfast buffet for free. These 2 things combined saved a lot of money.

I would definitely recommend this place.

Room Tip: only 4 floors but the elevators are painfully slow, opt for a room on the 2nd floor near the stairs...

“For me it worked very well may not be for everyone”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 January 2012

Each stay is different and can balance on the room, the neighbors above and below and on either side and how many cars doors close near the room windows. But when all the factors converge and you sleep great, have walking distance access to restaurants and the All-State Arena, as in the case of this hotel. It gets all the stars. The room was quiet. Not a noise at all no joke. This property is odd in that the check-in area is not connected to the 4-story buildings housing the rooms. That may bother some but all doors do require card access. This is s large property in a busy area but it seemed quiet and off the beaten path at same time.

“Conveniently close to the Airport”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 December 2011

I had to spend 10 hours during the night unfortunately with the VIP at the Airport closed between 00 and 04 hrs, so I decided to have some rest in between my 30 hrs trip and looked for Hotel close to the Airport. As many of the in-place Hotels at any Airport are expensive I searched in a 5 mile range and found this one. As any Residence Inn it offers a good option of suite rooms with kitchen and a living room, what, to be honest, I didn't needed for such a short rest. Going back to the Airport was cheaper and convenient because the Hotel has a Shuttle that departs every 30 minutes. Maybe if I would have known I would have taken that from the Airport to the Hotel instead of travelling unnecesarily 30 minutes because the Taxi driver gets lost.
The only inconvenience was that I had to walk quite a lot and osme part out of the main building to get into my actual room without anyone that could help me, would be good if the option is there.
I just saw the breakfast but didn´t tried it, it looks like a good bouffet.

“Decent Stay if you want something close O'Hare”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 December 2011

I stayed at the property overnight as I had to take a flight out of O'Hare the next day. Since this property is close to the airport, they offer shuttle service and hence I did not have a rent a car just for the night. I took a shuttle from the airport to this hotel and after a 5 - 7 minute ride, I was at the hotel. The place is right next to a small mall and hence there were some decent food options within a few minutes walking distance from the hotel.

The rooms were well maintained and for the first time, I saw that this property had Air Wicks in the rooms (Air freshining perfume units). It was a good experience to enter the the room to be greeted by a pleasant smell.

The breakfast counter at this place is decent with a good choice of items. However the only thing that surprised me was the timing. They close the breakfast counter here by 8:30 PM unlike the other marriot properties where they are usually open till about 9 or 9:30 AM on weekdays and till about 10 AM on weekends.

Overall, I liked this property and wouldn't mind going to this place for short stays.
