We booked thru' Stay123 - we decided to do something new -- we are usually Park n' Fly and the Hyatt Regency folks. 'dis ain't the Hyatt. The room was beautiful and clean and the people were very nice - but the Hyatt is cheaper at Park n' Fly and EVERYTHING is top-shelf, especially the staff and how guests are accomodated. We arrived and there was an event that completely closed down the parking lot - and we stayed there for the parking ... and the shuttle. For the 4:30am shuttle we were in the lobby by 4:12am and we were second to last to get on. The driver told us the bus holds 21 guests and there is no standing allowed - so if you do not make the "cut," you'd better get a cab because it will be another 30 mins before the next shuttle. You wouldn't have thought we had weather issues at ORD, but to be fair, apparently that was the problem this morning. The bottom line is that we didn't feel the hotel has the guest's best interest at heart - despite the beautiful room. Dollar for dollar - the Hyatt is head and shoulders above the Crowne Plaza - the parking (no wandering thru' the freezing uncovered lot toward the entrance at the Hyatt AND the Hyatt always had an attendant to help you ... not so at the Crowne) the staff (Hyatt is over the top professional and gracious) no nit picky extras (really Crowne? $12.95 for 24 hrs of internet - Holiday Inn Express is free!) Oh how we wanted to have two favorites at ORD -- but Hyatt wins hands down.
Room Tip: not by the elevator - it is REALLY loud for a good hotel.

I am sorry to hear about your early morning experience with the full shuttle. We do schedule multiple vehicles when we expect heavy volume and I am sorry we were not able to accommodate you in this instance. We do notify our customers that the shuttle operates every 30 minutes so are valued guests are aware of our service. I have also reviewed your comments regarding the parking proximity to the entrance. I am sorry that your walk was longer than you expected and yes this was a very busy night. We do offer other parking options for those guests needing assistance. In addition, I have reviewed your comments on the hi-speed internet pricing. I want to assure you that the pricing that we have established is competitively priced for the area hotels. We are hopeful that you would consider giving the hotel another opportunity to demonstrate our ongoing commitment to providing exceptional service and product.
