I stayed here a month after staying in a Sheraton. This was better, at half the price. This hotel provided free wi-fi (which was my main motive for choosing it), whereas the Sheraton and other high-priced hotels charges $15/day and nickles-and-dimes you in other ways.
This Holiday Inn provides a spacious room, an unusually commodious bathroom, free coffee & tea (some high-end hotels are now putting coffee in the in-room snack vault and charging for it). When I needed toothpast, the HI gave me a complimentary tube. (The nearby Hilton, I learned from a review) charges--a lot.
The main problem was that the only available restaurant, the Harry Caray, is VERY expensive. Maybe there was something else in walking distance, but I coulldn't see anything.
If I go to the HI again (as I will, when travel plans call for an overnight stay), I'll arrange to eat dinner first. Actually, this can be a problem, because the O'Hare restaurants are after security.
I must say that the restaurant problem may make me think twice about returning to this excellent hotel.
Room Tip: The whole area seems rather quiet.
