This was the worst experience I have ever had at a hotel! It was dirty, run down and not at all what I have seen at any other Embassy Suites I have stayed in. The front desk was very rude and not helpful. I had 2 small children and all of our bags. No one could help me get my bags to my room, nor would they give me a luggage cart. In the room there was peeling wallpaper, mold, some sort of slime on our bathroom door, broken springs on the pull out bed and the windows were dirty. The main door to the hotel room was actually 2 french doors. Who in their right mind would have 2 french doors, with large windows opening up to an atrium where they begin to put together the morning breakfast at 6 am. They were so loud! We stayed here because there was a pool and thought it would be nice for our kids to swim in during the winter. To find the pool, you have to ask the front desk as there are no signs. When you finally get there, you may as well turn back. The pool was freezing cold, the pool deck had paint peeling off everywhere, not all of the jets were working in the pool and the hot tub was not a hot tub at all. It was a barely luke warm, disgusting mess. The sides of the tile were gray and the bubbles were loaded with film from it being so dirty. Cracks were in the walls and the area by the showers was flooded. We didn't have enough towels for 4 people to stay in the room and it took calling the front desk twice to get enough towels. Plus, to park it costs $25. Now, you are sharing the exact same garage as with the Hilton next door and they pay $18. How is that right? Yes, I did voice my complaints to the front desk, but they did not care. I saw one of the maintenance workers going in a mechanical closet by the pool and asked about the conditions of the pool and he just said "Sorry". I have pictures to prove how dirty and disgusting this hotel was. I am submitting them to Hilton as I am a Hilton Card Member and we used our saved up points to try and have a nice family getaway. I am very disappointed in Hilton for allowing one of their properties to be so dirty and rundown. Stay anywhere but here!

“Good location..”

Location was very nice it was just down the road from the airport,restaurants and other activities..the room needed alot of updates on the trim the wall had some holes.Some table surfaces needed to be dusted..The sofa bed was very uncomfortable my back hurt, my shoulders and my back of my ribs were sore the next 2 days.The doors are very thin so you can hear the elevator and the people walk by as if they were there in your room..So you defianlty couldn't talk very loud cause some one from the outside in the hallway could hear every word.Breakfast was ok the potatoes were hard and plain..the French toast was ok..they have a little store with food,pills,chap stick you know travel stuff..the restaurant there in the hotel is priced very expensive and service is slow! The pool was very cold, the floors were very chipped up with paint it could use a smooth paint job.It would be an ok stay here..

I was stuck in Chicago overnight due to a snowstorm, which really isn't the reason for the negative review.

I was glad that I was able to get in the Embassy Suites at a great rate given the circumstances of the storm and delays. However, I experienced some real issues with the hotel:

-The first room I was given, I was not able to get into. The keys did not work (and this seemed to be a theme among other guests). I went back down and was asked by the front desk if I was sure I did it correctly??? I'm pretty sure since getting into a hotel room is a pretty standard process. They sent me back up with new keys, which again didn't work. Finally, they gave me a new room.
-The rooms need some updating, especially the bathrooms. They are a little worn.
-The manager reception. I know it's free...but beer in a paper cup?? Come on.
-I was leaving early in the morning and tried to set up early morning room service. Nope. Room service doesn't open until 7. For a business hotel I find that completely unacceptable.

Other than that, it is a standard Embassy Suites. No real frills. Stay at the Rosemont Hilton or Doubletree instead...that's what I will do next time.

“Very Pleased with Our Stay!”

I was very please with our recent stay at this hotel. The location was great for us - only one block from the Rosemont Theater. The hotel staff was very friendly and very helpful. I wasn't too excited about the parking fee but was able to get an upgrade through HiltonHonors and pay $20 for Valet parking instead of the $28. I was also a little disappointed that the hotel charges for WiFi but I knew this before I booked the hotel. The daily breakfast was good, as was the Manager's Reception. Our room was nice with a large table in the living room. The living room and bedroom both had large flat screen TVs. While the property may be a little older, the rooms have been updated nicely. I would definitely stay here again!

“"Noisy and Sad" said it all but just in case...”

It's true. This place is noisy and sad - and I'd add tired.

I was directed here becauase I missed a flight at O'Hare. Reception staff were polite. The atrium reminded me of a previous hotel stay in another State - twenty five years ago!!!

Loud muzak playing, when added to the noise of the waterfall, made for an annoying first impression.

The room decor was old an gross. I didn't want to sit on anything, touch the remote or sleep under the sheets.

The bar was dark and dingy so I ordered room service which arrived promptly but with a 23% service charge!!!

The plate was badly scratched from years of use, the food was basic and the portion size of a Greek salad was miniscule and drowning in vinegar, not Greek dressing. The feta cheese was anything but feta, but the lettuce looked very fresh.

I would not stay here and unless you get a great rate, would not advise you to either.

I arrived very late and had to leave early so I could not take avail of the manager's special in the evening or the made-to-order eggs at breakfast, which I am sure would have been fine.

In-room internet was priced into the double digits but there was a business centre with free access all day long.

Tear it down, then start again!

Room Tip: To get the best room, choose a different hotel.
