This hotel is still heavy on my mind. I still have nightmares about it. I should have posted this review when this bad experience first happened but I felt too traumatized. A year ago I booked a room for two nights at this place but I didn't stay. Why? Because I pulled the sheets back and looked at the mattress before taking in my luggage and the mattress was brown, yellow and mildewy. I didn't sleep there that night so I am not sure if they had bed bugs but I didn't want to risk it. The person at the front desk told me "the mattresses look like that because people sweat in the bed". YUCK!!!! She also allowed me to view 5 different rooms and all of the mattresses were in the same condition. I prepaid for the room on-line and the hotel refused to refund my money. Lesson learned!

Extended Stay Rolling Meadows is conveniently located off I-90 in a nice suburban shopping district. Within 10 blocks of the hotel, there are at least 50 different restaurants(mostly chains as is to be expected in the burbs) and plentiful shopping. For the location and price, this hotel is definitely a great deal. However, you will have to put up with some negatives for this. While the room was clean, the overall upkeep was poor. The fan did not work in the bathroom, the furnishing were falling apart and the kitchenette was very dated. The noise level at this hotel is quite high because it backs up to a freeway and is right in the landing flight paths for O'Hare. Overall, I expected a better kept facility from ESA. I would recommend this hotel for a one-night stop, but not for a long term stay.
