We've always been very happy with the hotels Priceline.com has sent us to in the past. Rolling the dice with Priceline.com will get you a jackpot on occassion, but this trip was a total bust.
The rooms are small, the bathroom door narrowly cleared the toilet when opening and closing, and the hotel offers no areas such as a lounge, snackbar, etc.
Upon checking in we were immediately disappointed with the room but figured it was just for one night. Then our 7 yr old daughter came running from the bathroom yelling, "it's overflowing, it's overflowing"!
The toilet wouldn't flush. (This wasn't due to anything she had done if you know what I mean.)
The desk clerk on duty at the time gets a thumbs up for her diligence. She came to our room, plunger in hand, and attempted to clear it. No good. We were about to leave for a wedding and were told that upon our return the problem would be fixed or they'd move us to a new room. Well, it didn't get fixed and they struggled to locate a room for us to move to. You'd think they'd have set one aside when they were unable to fix the toilet. We lugged our belongings up the stairs to the third floor to the new room and found an unclean room with no sheets on the bed and clutter on the countertop. Back down to the front desk and another wait. We ended up in a handicap accessible room with a functioning toilet, but by now the image of the hotel had been permanently damaged for us.
We'll continue to use Priceline.com for booking our hotels but I'll be crossing my fingers not to receive an Extended Stay America hotel again.
