Stayed here three nights -in town on business. The room was pretty nice, but they put me in the 'new' building which is across the parking lot from the main building. Had to cross the parking lot if I wanted to use the gym or pool, or purchase food or a beverage. Was scary when it was dark out. Their complimentary breakfast is great - nice variety! I lost my wallet and the gentleman that was working was VERY helpful in helping me find it. He went outside and looked all over! The customer service displayed was top notch.

We were in Rockford for one night with our three kids (twin infants and a 2 year old). We are loyal to Marriott brand hotels and this one had an option for a two bedroom suite. I'm so glad we made this choice. We requested a "crib" (turned out to be a pack n play) and found it in our room waiting for us with a clean cover and sheet to go with it, plus the option of getting other kid friendly items like outlet covers. They also left a small toy, cheap, but a nice touch. We were able to utilize the entire space well, one bathroom for kids, our toddler sleeping in the second bedroom, the main area as baby central, and my husband and I in the first bedroom with our own bathroom. It was especially handy to have the kitchen for bottle making, and a table for meals. The free breakfast was good enough, we brought toast, fruit, milk, and breakfast sandwiches back to our room. Overall clean enough and good service. However, we paid A LOT for one night, $250 including tax.

My friend and I were supposed to stay at this hotel on November 12th, we had reserved the room on September 20th. We had booked a two bedroom suite with a kitchen as we were coming from out of the area and wanted to be able to visit and stay up if we wanted to. On the Monday before we were supposed to arrive, I got a confirmation of our reservation. The next day my friend called as she wanted to confirm that she had the right address for her GPs and was told at that time that our room had been changed and that they had reserved two separate rooms for us and couldn't guarantee that they would even be near each other. When both of us had contact with the people at the hotel, no one apologized for the inconvenience and no one attempted to make things right. We were told that they are a extended hotel and that they cater to the extended customers. When I asked the manager why they book those rooms out to other people if they weren't going to be available she said that is just how it was done. We have stayed in may Marriott properties in alot of cities and have had a few problems in the past, but they have always been more than willing to make things right, not this hotel. Even after calling corporate, I have not heard anything more from the hotel or it's manager. Will stay at a different hotel when we reschedule our trip.

Rockford hotels seemed full the night we needed a room. I live Marriotts and was glad we could get a room here. But the room was a little smelly and the price was $183 (inlcuding tax). This was too high for a 1-night stay.
