Fairfield Inn in Quincy is just that: fair.
Quincy isn't exactly your typical lavish vacation stop, but I was just stoked just to find a place to get some Marriott Rewards points.
Room was adequate. Again, you're in Quincy, so anything halfway decent suffices. Everything about the room was functional and I had no problems in that regard.
The hotel did have a slightly unpleasant stench from walking in the door, which permeated throughout the entire first floor. A colleague and I concluded that they must have been mopping the floor with sour rags or sour water. Not exactly what I want to smell, but at least it gets covered up in the morning by the continental breakfast aroma!
I imagine the stench is a temporary thing. Maybe in a month they'll realize that they need to change the mop water. I at least suggested that to the night worker, who got a little defensive, but as the customer I see no problem in pointing out how I think the establishment could improve for a future visit.
