This was my first experience at a Microtel. For the price I was more than pleased with everything about this hotel.
The room appeared larger than I expected. Then I realized the room was just very efficiently laid out. It had everything and was very comfortable. Breakfast was very nice, and the welcome cookies were delicious.
I would only wish all the hotels I stay at were as good and had the same value.

Was at this facility twice during the month -- each time for a single night's stay. Facility is clean and safe. Front desk staff are friendly and accommodating. Fresh-baked cookies in lobby were a nice touch. Room was smaller than the "normal" lower-end chain room size, but was decorated MUCH more nicely and contemporary than the "normal" lower-end chain. (I had a room on the front side of the hotel both times -- not sure whether the rooms on the back side - facing the Mississippi River - are larger or not.) Breakfast was simple, but adequate. Exercise room was clean and well-maintained. Outside of the facility appeared to be well-maintained. Overall, this is a very nice, comfortable, economical stay.

For three years my family has gathered at the microtel for "mini" familly reunion. We are always greated by friendly people at the front desk and in the dining room. The rooms are a god size with nice window seats and desk areas. The place is clean and comfortable and an easy (on the way down, anyway!) walk to riverfront Quincy dining. The pool has a nice deck overlooking the river and the community theatre is just across the street. We highly recommend this hotel!

Great view of the river, but both our rooms smelled really weird. The elevator also smelled very strange. The rooms are very basic, with odd lighting - either super-bright fluorescents or a really dim wall light... nothing in-between. The halls were pretty dark as well. The breakfast was great. It's a nonsmoking hotel, but there were always groups of people hanging around all the entrances smoking.
