The only good thing I can say about this place is the staff, they are very friendly. After that, it was down hill. The entry way to the building was extremly dirty, they also had more salt on the sidewalk than was on the road. People were falling from sliding on the salt. (The sidewalk was dry) The recliner in the room was broken, right arm hanging, the back wouldnt stay upright, lets not even talk about the desk chair. Holes in the chair from smokers and stains on the seat that just made sick. I put a towel over the chair before I sat on it. Paper and whatever under the bed, the bottom of the matterss was riped and hanging, the sheets did not fit the matterss were pulled up the sides. The bed did sleep well thou. The only trash can was in the bathroom. The heat was excellent but the frig in the room made more noise than mine at home and it NEVER shut off all night long. When you flasked the bathroom it took (3) flashes to clean the bowl.

The owners of this Super 8 do not maintain it. If you need to go to Pontoon Beach to pick up or drop off your vehicle, I would recommend finding a different hotel. The tile in the pool is all chipped and floating around in the water. There are mysterious dirt specks on the bottom of the pool and there was some kind of water centipede crawling around down there too. It was really gross. The bug was still there the next day...so it is apparent they do not clean their pool. The continental breakfast consisted of some very odd tasting coffee, juice and convenience store donuts. The hotel room had some severely cracked drywall. Actually, there were several spots within the hotel where the drywall was severely cracked and left unrepaired. The front staff was friendly...but that was the only redeeming quality of this hotel!!

My husband and I stayed at this motel when we went for a weekend trip to St. Louis. If you don't like the hassle of a downtown St. louis hotel, this is a nice location. It is along the Interstate, with places to eat within walking distance, and is only about 15 minutes from St. Louis. Our room was clean and the staff was very helpful, courteous and friendly. The swimming pool was really small, but then the motel itself was only around 50ish rooms. The only thing that we made a negative comment about, is that it would have been nice to have a coffee maker in the room instead of running downstairs or across the parking lot to Denny's for it. It was very nice for the price. We would stay there again.

Stayed in king suite that had a jacuzzi. The bathroom smelled of urine, and saw ants crawling on jacuzzi and had one crawl on me while in bed. Saw spider near jacuzzi also.
