We showed up here weary after a 7 hour drive in a 24' UHAUL pulling a car carrier. The parking lot was EASY to managed even for me a newbie truck driver. When we walked in Sierra was there. The girl that made our reservations the night before and she even REMEMBERED my UHAUL issue and wanted to make sure we were all set. THIS STAFF IS AWESOME!
We got our room, walked the four dogs. Drooled over the 1 bedroom suite we ended up getting on the first floor. VERY HANDY! Right by an exit and entrance for handy puppy visits outside. There was a large fairly nice pup area. Now, there was A LOT of garbage outside the area of the hotel ('woods') on the other side of the fence, but what can they do?
The highway went right over top of the hotel, but I couldn't even hear it or know that it was there. This place was AWESOME! Their pool was clean and was even being tested for the second time that day by the maintenance man.
We had a fantastic visit here and if you can deal with the $ issue, it is worth EVERY CENT! We had dinner at the "Manager's Toast" with cheeses, drinks, salad, snacks, dips, and so much more. Then after 7pm we had fresh baked chocolate chip/walnut cookies.
This hotel is connected to the Northwoods Mall, not of interest to our exhausted selves, but could be a good resource. Tons of food and shopping abound at this place. Plus, if you are staying for more than 1 night, they'll grab your groceries for you!
Incredible.
